Obligatory new years post.

This year is going to be the year of being nice to other people.

This includes trying to be consistent in my writing so that stuff gets written.

Also I need a cover for my discorded report, anyone would be free to suggest something until I decide what to do with it.

The title is relevant because I've basically kept myself distracted with everything that wasn't writing since october. In between working, playing wow, Dragon age inquisition, and amusing myself with what goes under the umbrella catchall therm GamerGate, I've managed to write less than I would have liked.

I've been progressing on chapter 1 BLP, and reviewing the plot threads to get most of it right while fighting off procrastination. I have to say I would admire anyone with the capacity to spout out 1k words or more while working and these human ways of distracting myself have not helped at all. It is coming together, but for now it is a slow going that will hopefully explode outwards once I can manage to get my act together. Just putting the word out that there have been some considerations made and we decided as a collab fic we would work together and make a finished tale, but we need to do some changes to reflect our more mature outlook on the series. Chapters will remain roughly similar but some characters will be removed or reworked in larger or greater parts.

This blog was delayed for a few days due to a couple of reasons, and my writing stagnated too.
I was struck by a series of delays that were encouraged mostly in part due to the alicorn rumors surrounding Twilight Sparkle. I had to see it before writing, and somehow account for it. Plus I had a relevation that lead me to discard much of my intended material and I was left to restructure it mostly by myself without the usual peers.

The weeks flew by, I posted the promised chapter, and began work on Sanctuary. Now I have a promising start, and a few prereaders call it very good, so that's great. I always had confidence issues with chapter1's and crafting both good hooks, and ensuring that exposition is kept at an all time low while also ensuring the tale is informative as well as engaging is a hard task many authors fail at.
