Okay, the dice have been rolled. I've submitted this fix to EqD, and I'm waiting for a pre-reader response currently.
Now the story's hit the end of part 2, I've decided to go back and do some spring cleaning for the next few days. I'm basically going to pick through the story for spelling/grammar/plotting issues, and fix them up. (There are one or two plot points I need to make clearer, given that it's now over 100,000 words and has got pretty convoluted.) I'm also probably going to go through and de-capitalize all instances of the words Pegasus and Unicorn, because they're not proper nouns and I'm stupid for
Okay, the story's getting pretty close to the big chapter 30 now, and this has been a pretty awesome week. The story hit 100 trackers at about the same time as it hit 100,000 words, so thanks a huge amount to everyone who's tracked it thus far.
Also, this story actually has some awesomely squee-inducing fanart now, courtesy of Furor!
Okay, just a brief update on the state of play of A Bluebird's Song. Firstly, I know updates have been a lot less regular recently than they usually are. That's mostly because I'm still not 100% health wise, but that situation should fix itself up pretty soon. Secondly, this arc is wrapping itself up pretty nicely now, and then we'll be onto the record attempt itself. (That particular arc will then bring the story to its close.)
Yeah, the title pretty much sums it up. Right now I'm in hospital with a massive sinus infection, and dosed up to the eyeballs with pain meds (whoo, drowsiness). It might be a couple of days until I get out, so naturally there's going to be a delay until the next chapter, although I'm making notes for it while I'm in here to distract myself. I'm not putting the story on hiatus, because hopefully I'll only be out of play for a few days. Sorry for the inevitable delay, though.
Just a quick note to say that the new chapter is in the works! A bit of Celestia backstory is cropping up this time around, nothing earth-shattering, but fun to write nonetheless.
In other news, has anyone else read the Beethoofen Virus comic series on DeviantArt? I just fell in love with it. Best. Octascratch. Ever. (Yes, I do like that particular ship.)
