Life got in the way this week and Chapter 5: Prey Animals is not ready for post yet. The good news is that, despite my intention to post smaller 2000-3000 word chapters from now on, Ch 5 is already passing the 5000 word mark and will probably be closer in size to Ch 1-2 than Ch 3-4 when it's done.

I love Derpy. And I am so happy that she got such a cute and funny scene with RD of all ponies, which was a blast. But let me just say this: I hope Derpy doesn't become the new Snips and Snails if you catch my drift.

I really like including illustrations from the fandom, since I think it's a fun way to establish a tone or mood for a scene, or to punctuate a dramatic scene by placing an illustration at the end.

However, more than one person has suggested that they are gimmicky and distracting, and that I should remove them.

So what do you guys think? Say thee "yay," or say thee "neigh" to interpolated illustrations in my stories?
