"Huzzah!" Green Akers raised him arms in triumph. "Chapter 18 of MKE is finally done, and it's nowhere near as late as I thought it would be!"
Salutations, Interwebz denizens!
Things are progressing slowly on the writing front, so I've decided to put my alicorn Twilight idea on the back burner and concentrate on my unfinished stories. Thus, my goals are as follows:
-Publish Chapter 8 of Grounded by the end of November.
-Publish Chapter 17 of MKE by the end of the year.
I will close with a prediction: By the end of the night, Jim Joyce's strike call will be trending on Twitter.
CANTERLOT, Equestria—Fresh off a double-A rehab assignment in which he went only three chapters and gave up 76 spelling errors and 27 incorrectly-used dashes, eccentric author Green Akers declared that his doctor "gave me the best news - the green light to write fan fiction again!"
When asked for comment, Brian Cashman said that "Akers should shut the f--- up."
So...yeah. Doc says no computers until mid-September, unless I learn to type with my toes.
...
I would say that this throws my fanfic schedule into chaos, but that would imply that I had a schedule in the first place.
So here's the new plan:
-"Mid September": Make triumphant return to FimFiction
-October 1: Publish Chapter 16 of MKE (I'm about 3,000 words in right now)
-November 15: Publish Alicorn Twilight comedy one-shot I keep telling myself I'll write
Greetings once again, fellow FimFictioners!
So this is Trixie Tuesday, eh? (Or is it Twilightlicious Tuesday?) A day when we are called upon to cast aside our fears and perform death-defying acts with irrational confidence? Interesting...but what should I do?
*thinks for a moment*
I have it! Today...I shall set a deadline!
I was going to reflect on my 1-year anniversary on FimFiction. I was going to marvel at the number of words I'd written, and the response I'd gotten from the MLP community. I was going to offer a holiday-themed excuse for why I wasn't writing faster. Heck, I'd even thought of a cute "Jingle Bells" parody I could throw in for laughs. It was going to be fun.
Then some basket case decided to kill a bunch of kids in Connecticut...and my blog post didn't seem so fun anymore.
Hello again, everypony!
It's been a while, so I figured I'd send out a quick note to a) prove that I'm still alive, and b) update folks on the progress of my current stories.
Grounded: I just finished writing Chapter 4, and will release it to the world once I get the thumbs-up from my editor, so expect an update soon!
While bounding across the landscape of the Internet, I stumbled upon this gem of a picture at mlp.wikia.com:
All I could think of was "Dude, I know you're married to the girl and all, but c'mon, show a little discretion. Her eyes aren't down there."
That is all.
