Also, I'm changing the story to present tense.

I'm gonna be honest with you guys. Since I released the latest chapter of The Dragon King several weeks ago, I haven't been really working on the next chapter.
The reason is because...I don't really like the way the story has come so far. Some of the situations are painfully typical (such as how Michael got into Equestria to begin with), and others...well, they could be better.
I'm sure you can guess that this was posted as soon as the S3 premiere ended. All I can say is this is gonna be a good season, regardless if it'll be half as long. I'm also gonna add to the chapter "Reality And Dream" to mention the Crystal Empire. (I may very likely also rewrite the story so far and later to make it S3 canon.) But I digress.
I have officially decide to rewrite the chapter, Awakening. After much thought, I figured that it could be better for the beginning of a HiE fic; maybe I can make it not "so typical", like I see some people saying. But I'm not complaining, in fact, they're right. After reading it again just now, it is a pretty big turn-off, and I'm surprised that people have actually committed to following The Dragon King after reading that near-painfully typical introduction.
I thought about the next few chapters for The Dragon King, and I came to the conclusion that rewriting certain dialogue in "Shadows" would clear some inconsistencies in future chapters. Not to mention that some of the wording in that chapter just seems awkward to me. But don't fret, nothing major will be changed, so it won't seem that different, though I think you'll see where I'm going by making these changes in later editions.
