Centuries ago a mysterious evil was defeated and sealed off from Equestria for what was hoped to be an eternity. Cast as the caretakers of the magical seal that bound this evil away, the Order of the Sealed Flame has safeguarded Equestria from what was then its greatest threat. But the evil has been growing as it festers in its prison. Recently it seems to have attained power that was previously thought to have been far from its grasp. As whatever is sealed away continues to fester, the ever anxious Order of the Sealed Flame does its best to keep it at bay, but things are looking bleak...

Years ago, only recently after the banishment of Nightmare Moon, one of the dark mare's most devout followers looks to cause the upheaval her master sought. With an amassed army larger than anything seen before in Equestria, Malevolent Hatred (Nightmare Moon's follower) stands at the doorstep of Canterlot. Without any other option the Royal Guard and an elite company of Pegasi known as the Weather Corps move to take on the the encroaching army. Who will come out on top?
