Simply counting the amount of eyes on this site, FimFiction does feel pretty Orwellian.

What are you on about. That eye is very much a creepy way of notification. I look at my user page and see two of them. One is watching those I follow, and the other is watching for those who follow me (essentially none). So I imagine it as me telling that one eye to 'watch' people. It's kinda like Sauron.
