Huh. I was under the impression that "blank flank" was kind of a slur, or at best, a rude name. It would be like calling someone a "dork" or a "feeb" or the like. However, now the ponies are just using it as an everyday descriptor. Nothing wrong with that, I guess. It just knocks my assumption askew. It feels weird, you know? The CMC used to hate being called blank flanks, but they sling it around like nothing in this episode.

So I wrote for something like two hours this week. That's not very much time, but considering it's been around a year since I really did any writing, it's major progress for me. My job has finally calmed down to the degree that I have some bandwidth for other things, and the dog situation is at least nominally under control.

As I've said before, I've moved into a very hectic, very high-pressure job that leaves me almost no time to be creative. On top of this, I now have a medically sensitive dog living with an energetic puppy. Keeping the lid on their behavior eats up the lion's share of the free time that I have.

This leaves me little time to thing about things like writing, but more and more, I've been thinking about reading more on this site. It's... daunting.

So my wife and I have had this problem for the last three months or so. The neighbors that we already don't like got a puppy. They've basically abused her ever since. They are of the opinion that the dog doesn't really matter. She was basically just a toy for their kids for an hour or two a day. The rest of the time she was kept on a three foot tether in the backyard, where she barked, howled, and cried while she sat in urine and tried desperately to find shade.
