Hello all,

The other day one of my pre-readers, Karrakaz, put a challenge to me: set up a story (i.e. establish the characters, location, and conflict) in less than 500 words. My initial effort clocked in at just over 600 words, but once I was done with that, I just kept going. Roughly 7,000 words later, my first one-shot story is done. Check it out here while it's waiting to be approved.

One year ago today, I published the first chapter of Unexpected Confessions, and back then, I figured it would be a 10-12 chapter story, maxing out at 50-60k words.

Just as a heads up for all of you, I'm going to be doing some revisions/rewrites to the early chapters of UC. Specifically, the first seven chapters or so, everything before Steel Resolve and Karrakaz came on board as prereaders.

We're starting on the chapter one now and will be cycling through old chapters, new ones, and new chapters for Trials of the Heart.

I just wanted to make a quick update to let people know that I haven't abandoned Trials of the Heart and that I am still working on it... well, I'm not actively working on it, but I plan to soon.
