Herding Inquiries has been posted and the first chapter is up. This is not a long story, about three chapters and an epilogue. Basically, a filler while I write Temor's Hunt. Just a sneak peek at how things are going in the Equestria Tales universe, while I delve into the Temor universe, which the Equestria Tales universe is actually connected to. Um... I think I confused myself.

Anyway, Enjoy the story.

Well, Herding Inquiries is completely written and now off with the editor getting much-needed scrutiny.

Turns out it ended up being three chapters and an epilogue. Did bring a bit of a hacksaw to the third chapter as it kept stumping me in places until I started chopping away a few pieces.

Temor's Hunt is slowly turning from drafts and ideas to proper writing. I have started more properly on the first chapter and hopefully, this trend will continue until the story is entirely written.

Social media and I.... well let's just say we've generally never gotten along.

I'm part of the generation that saw the early beginning of the internet. I remember the screechy dial-up modems, when you needed a landline to connect to the internet and all that ancient crud. I remember when you needed several floppy disks to play a game and a time when a 500-megabyte hard drive was just way too much space. What on earth were you going to do with all that space?

So I took a small break from my writing frenzy to avoid burning out. Also to think a bit over the current short story I'm about to put out.

The third chapter of the upcoming story "Herding Inquiries" is mostly complete, however, it turned out a bit longer than I had initially planned so yes there will be a fourth chapter, or at the very least a very long epilogue.

The second chapter of Herding Inquiries, the new story coming up, is close to done. As I suspected this will probably be a three-chapter story. It's really meant to be a bit of a filler, while I work on Temor's hunt.

Of course, by writing this little filler, I'm now considering if I should write up another short story.

Why am I being distracted by all these story ideas suddenly?

Well, the last status report blog isn't even a day old and I already have more to report.

I'm happy to tell you that the process for the new short story is going very well. The first chapter is mostly finished, though it does need to go through a few editing rounds.

It will be a short story, probably two or three chapters long. I was going to have it a one-shot but realized, it would be too long for a one-shot in the end.

Well, March has been a rougher month than I anticipated and last week I was down with the regular flu (I was tested, I did not have covid). So other things are also happening at home, nothing serious but it might interrupt me a few times. There are going to be some home renovations.

Story-wise, I'm still plotting along with the Temor sequel, but haven't fully committed to writing it until home renovations are done, since I'm not sure how much time I have during it to do any serious writing.
