Which of these two choices for you think should happen to Odium that would start the plot of the Rise of Odium?

1. Odium gets knocked out by Twilight during his first fight against the Mane Six.
2. Odium flees after sparing one of the Mane Six, like Fluttershy, out of mercy and high moral standards, vowing to return for justice.

I think I'm losing my touch on how to write a well-developed and complex antagonist, or character in general.
