Twilight is informed of the emergence of demonic pony-like creatures from the Everfree, and decides to investigate herself. Once there, the princess of friendship encounters one of such creatures, who simply wants redemption for all the pain and suffering he has caused. Twilight agrees to be his 'tether' as the unicorn leads him through the long, painful path of redemption for his past sins.

Trixie is drunk, broke and homeless after she's mugged on the way to Manehattan. She is saved by an Earth Pony stallion with a dragon head cutie mark, who can suprisingly use magic. He allows her to tag along, and our least favorite magician is taken on an amazing adventure that involves dragons, mages, demons and... Alcohol! Through the madness and excitement, Trixie begins to see the Half-blood in a different light than the others do...
