Well, been working on my new story for roughly a week, and it's already outdone Standing Tall in word count.
For reference, this is about how I originally wrote Standing Tall, speed-wise, except I wrote it on paper. And copying from paper to digital is really boring, so that's part of why I originally lost interest in the story. Out of the Icebox, though, is all on my computer, so any chapters I write will be posted as soon as I finish them.
