i'm writing this to announce that the devil you know is finally finished. the last two chapters will be released over the next two weeks.

from there, i'm gonna take a break then see about finishing in the land of dreams finally. after that, i'll probably return to the lands of skyrim on ao3.

hey everyone. soooo i figured since it's been a couple months now, i'd give y'all another update. been managing post burnout life, as i discovered about a month ago that's why i've been so exhausted since basically october 2020. burn out, and a hell of a lot of it. i was so used to being stupidly busy that i've been learning what to do with myself without piling so much onto my plate i become a nervous wreck.

q) was the mirror really your first time writing horror?

a) yes it was! when i started on it last april i genuinely had never written anything like it in my entire life, including little fanfictions and original stories i did back as a young teen.

q) will you do more in the future?

a) likely not, i have trouble needing to be in the right mood for spooky works, and though i've dabbled with some spooky standalone pieces on another site, updates would be few and far between.

why would you ask me for an update when i've already pushed one out? this makes me want to abandon fics every time it happens, in fact i ended up nuking one for a re-write then canceled it entirely.

people, please do not hassle me for chapters. as i've explained in numerous other blogs i have issues with posting so it happens when it happens.

i know, all i do is write updates and not chapters. 2020's been hard on us all, but i've had an especially tough year.

first was the anniversary of losing a grandfather to cancer.
then it was losing a second grandfather to covid-19.
then i find out my biological father had covid on the heels of pneumonia and i was terrified i'd lose him too.
financial struggles, stress, quarantining, grieving; my drive to write shriveled and died on me.

so i'm not sure how many, if any, of you happen to read my non pony work over on a03, but i figured i'd drop some news about it here just in case. i've decided that instead of just doing the one planned sequel there will be two, which of course makes it a trilogy. i have the titles worked out in my head already, and a rough outline of the plot for the second one.
