Its been years since I've written but I want to try again. I have an idea for a story but im not sure how well thought out the idea is and I would like to get advice if anyone would like to scroll through my small entry so far. I plan for this to be a very long story.

Spike and Princess Luna Romance

Title Ideas:

Idea of the story: Spike Solis Sparkle is living his life normally in Ponyville as Twilight's assistant except he is now 20 years of age and has sprouted wings during his growth spurt. Spike on his spare time, practices swordsmanhip and martial arts; learning from Twilights Brother Shining Armour. This will be the basis of chapter one leading into story as a whole.
The Grand Galloping Gala is upcoming and Spike is the escort for all of his friends: Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity (Spike and Rarity have already ageed on the love interest being false and are still just as close.) Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Princess Luna?!
Chapters 3 and 4 will be Spikes prep for the Gala, the Arrival, the Party, and then Spike will meet Luna when he takes a breather in the Royal Gardens of Canterlot. Spike is a carefee dragon and will approach confindently and strike conversation. The pair will appear back to the party arm and arm (unknowlingly) after a merthful encounter and every will be shocked that their Night Goddess chose someone to be with at the Gala. This will trigger explaining Luna's past as nightmare moon and as to who she is now.
Chapter 5 will contain Spike and Luna's time at the Gala and the aftermath where Luna will ask spike to come back to Canterlot for Tea at the Royal Gardens. This surprises Spikes friends, twilight the most out of the others because of their friendship.

Now the idea of the beginning is just a menial means to an end to allow me to introduce the characters needed for the story to continue and the characters development to be complete so as not to confuse the reader, this will be a love story but not such one that its all the story is about. I want there to be a plot and climax with plenty of action. There will be a crisis in this story. im not sure what I want it to be but I do want it to be big enough that it will take Spike and company plenty of chapters to even discover said crisis and even more chapters with spike learning of an ancient magic within him that will only surface with the help of luna. allowing luna and himself to vanquish the evil that threatens them. the after math will be luna and spikes life after the crisis and an epilogue with the possibility of children. let me know what you think
