Just yesterday, I finally finished drafting the seventeenth chapter of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs. At over 10,000 words, it's a long one! It's called "The Millennium." I'm about to send it to my pre-readers and hope to have it up sometime next week.

I've just finished drafting Chapter 16 of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs. I'll try to show it to my pre-readers soon, revise it over the weekend, and post it next week. It's a lot shorter than the last chapter.

I've just finished editing Chapter 15 of "The Pony Who Lived Upstairs". The chapter is entitled "Politics", and it's a doozy! It's the second-longest chapter so far, and there's plenty of goodness in there. I reread Cutie Mash the other day, having looked it up in order to find a MUCK password I drew from it, and I was a little disappointed to find that... it wasn't very good. It's not witty or funny enough and too heavy on exposition. And the central idea doesn't really seem clever enough to justify it anymore. So that's the opposite experience from when I reread Pinkie Pie's Travelogue a few weeks ago.

If you're waiting for Chapter 15 of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs, I can guarantee it won't be out until June 15th at the very earliest. You see, I'm being hired to edit a novel, and the deadline is an uncomfortably close June 10th. I'm going to be very busy until then--too busy for ponies, alas.

But I can tell you that I've written a couple of songs for the upcoming chapter. I'll be singing at least one of them at a music gathering tomorrow. :-)

I just reread "Pinkie Pie's Travelogue" today, my second appendix to The Combinatorics Project. It made me feel excited and proud and warm inside. Even though it's just an 'appendix', I really should have made it its own story, since it can almost stand alone. I've come to realize that of everything I've ever written, it's perhaps the work of which I'm most proud. A few fans of The Combinatorics Project wanted to see the multiversal adventure I gave Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in Chapter 5
