Had a shower to mull things over and I had a beautiful, beautifil realization. I mean seriously, we're talking they-should-have-send-a-poet level prettiness here. I'm going to adopt my physics derp as a plot point rather than fix it. Ohmygosh.

Damn. I messed up some very simple physics in Circumstellar's current plot. Variations in axial rotation are responsible for certain effects in space, not variations in relative orbits to celestial bodies. I know, I know.

No need to worry, I wrote other plot options before I started writing, but.. well, I kind of liked this one.

Those crafty NASA engineers. I'm not holding my breath to visit Mars in my lifetime, but I'd like to think I'll see at least one spacecraft with one of these babies for an engine in the next decade or two:

I ended up largely resolving monday's literary conflicts by 'downgrading' my original chapter into a prologue. Title change, only. That may sound a little gimmicky, but it ended up working much better than I had anticipated in regard to the chapters to come.

After a troublesome start of the week, I finally have some fairly good news. I was able to work out a deal with a great proofreader here and that means there will be no futher delay on my part trying to find one. I do have to wait two weeks until he has time for me, but all that means is I'll be able to publish several chapters at once.

Not due to the lack of things to write about, but because I, in my inexperience, assumed I could get away with only relying on self-editing and sporting a bookish cross-chapter story progression format that ignored the fact that the story would be released slowly, chapter by chapter.
