To sum things up, I was a writer long ago.
I was in fact a writer of very low quality fan fiction. Not terrible, just highly minimal and poorly constructed fanfiction.
So, then I took breaks and did things intermittently.
Now, I return inspired by a lovely young writer (whom I should definitely ask to dinner, someday). Well, I want to write again and read more and help people grow and be part of the community, as I was when this site was still in it's early days.

I used to be somebody else, but now I am Brass Bell.
But why?
Well, I am not the same person I was yesterday. New person, new start.
So why the new start?
A Friday ago, I met someone, she writes and pretty damn well too. A Monday ago, I asked for a fresh start. Today, I am making that start. Today I am inspired by a person whom I I met that Friday ago. Today, I am Brass Bell.
And why choose to be called that?
There was a one on my desk when my transfiguration transfiguration occurred.

I take pride in using this site, I am one of the oldest users in fact (smugface).
Waaay back when Gyrobowls were almost new and projects were popping up left and right on ponychan, to try and cope with the upcoming "dry spell" as it was called, I saw this thing start. I saw some thread, where a colour scheme was being requested for a new fan fiction site. I quickly offered a few hexadecimal colour codes, (including one for heliotrope) and set about discussing this interesting new foray.

I'm not at my best.
Working hard, no time spare.
I only have shadows of stories in my mind now.
The stories that want to be written, but may never be.

Let's face it, I wasn't any good to start with. Let's throw in the towel and come back four months with a clean head, spare time and the kind of beverages that make one a little light headed.

On the to-do list, is update my profile and so on, you know, because it's older than most the updates to the site.

However, some people I know personally are wanting to read my stuff! I now feel even more duty bound to finish what I have started.

So, beleive it or not, I am working through Christmas. Revision for bits and cleaning up the house.
I am probably going to get onto those tasks in 20 mins or so because I am listening to a very nice radio programme.
Yes, you guessed it, this work and radio programme will delay my progress on my writing.
Sorry.

After the Previous "Splurge on the Page", I have been more focused with regards to the developments of my two mane stories.
I hope to have them both finished before Christmas!
Then, I will move onto something new.

So, I have these ideas floating about in my head, they are distracting me from my mane projects.
The solution? Write them. But where? A new story will distract, so into the blog they go...
