I'm almost there now... Just about to reach the conclusion of the fight scene... Just a couple more days and the next chapter is gonna be out!

I think I've made more collective progress today than I have over the past several weeks.

I managed to somehow pump out several pages all at once, and finally managed to move past the encounter scene and finish up the conversation scene, and now I'm about to start working on the fight scene itself. This is gonna be one hell of a ride... and if I can keep the rhythm up until tonight, it is pretty likely that this chapter will come out within this week!

I'm doing a slight re-write of Chapter 2 - Awakening. I figure having a staff, particularly Raising Heart, for Rarity is just too hard for me to do because well, staffs are more of a mage's weapon, and Rarity is more about finesse than she is about magic. You fail to get onto a premiere fansite mainly due to the artistic direction that your fic took. Damn them OOC moments, damn them insidious punctuation errors - I had two proof-readers going over this before I submitted it!

HOLY CRAP that was much longer than I had expected. I'd only managed to cover even half of what I had intended to write in this single chapter, and I ended up having to split it up into a two-parter. Well, hopefully the sheer length of the content and the amount of fluff and lore in this chapter will keep you guys tided over until I can get the next chapter out, which I PROMISE will be much more action packed than this one!
