I know that seems like a harsh statement, but hear me out:
Super heroes and comic books used to be nerdy pursuits, but now they are culturally acceptable. Now, it's not considered different or odd to enjoy them, as a kid or an adult. Animated TV shows made their stories accessible, and eventually huge, blockbuster movies made people care.
The same has happened to some degree with Star Wars and Star Trek. In a nutshell, our uncle's nerdy hobbies are no longer so.

What can I do here?

Well, I'll likely take my other writing-based material, and post it when I've got something. Or, just write my thoughts on God, gaming, ponies, anime... Y'know. Life stuff.
