When the ponies came and it became obvious that human's would end, all military forces were disbanded. Most country's armed forces just did so peacefully. Some members of more warring countries joined the HLF, Some founded Mercenary groups. Most notable of these was 'Red Dagger', forged out the armed forces of United States of America. They did everything from guard bureaus, escort people to them, and lead attacks on them, whatever the people or ponies with the money needed.

Windchaser is very persuasive. There will be a sequel to An Azure Future. It will be separate from the rest of the story, as it is its own thing. It will cover John's dating life, and, as always, there will be many shenanigans. Its only been about nine years since he last had a partner, what could possibly go wrong?
