CrimsonCowboy

An interesting character. Enjoys cooking, science, math, puns, and ponies, of course. Cold adapted. Likes the idea of people.

I need an editor! · 8:00pm Feb 9th, 2017

I've got wordplay. I've got basic science. I've got stupid ideas and clever rectifications for them.

But I screw up "probably" and "probable" way too often. So help me, that's just the simplest of errors I make.

I need either,
1. More practice writing.
2. An editor, or proofreader, or something along those lines.

Where the deuce are these writing challenges on this site located? And how do I find proofreaders? I'm really bad at this, and I'm willing to admit it.

Edit: I just saw your comment, please ignore most of this message and only keep the 'thanks' and the David Bowie's thumbs up.

Hey, thanks for reading Actually, I'm Dead, hope you like it. Since I'm always interested in my readers' opinions, I would like to know yours too.

Have a Bowie's thumbs up.

2185300 I'm afraid not, at least in terms of literature. I'm more influenced by sci-fi movies than books. A major influence on Turing Test is Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. So, I suppose if you haven't seen that show, it's definitely worth a watch.

As for that Heinlein book, it seems to keep coming up in conversation recently. In part, it's because I've been reading a story on here called The Moon Has a Harsh Mistress, which is an alternate universe fic about a colony of ponies living on the moon. Still, I've got a library card, so I bet I could give that a look soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for writing it! I actually noticed it just a few days ago, binged in an insomniac way, and read the last four or so chapters posted in a lovely little park overlooking our bridge just yesterday after work. I almost always love scifi stories, and have loved robots since I was a kid! When I discovered Asimov.... Well, I can't say I've read all of his works, but I'm reasonable sure I read all of his robot stories. I mean, the guy has what, 800+ books published?

.... On that note, do you have any suggestions? Cause I might have one for you... Have you read Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress?" As one of it's main characters is the supercomputer Mycroft, of the HOLMES 4 brand of machines. It starts with her playing pranks.... It kinda affected me really hard. I made correlations. Humor, curiosity, error correction... and the common variable being 'the sudden reveal'.

Thank you for adding The Iron Horse to your Favorites! I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Glad you liked Under the Willow and The Symposium, and thanks for adding them to your favorites.:pinkiehappy:
