So my only romance story, "Apples and Feathers", which was one of the first things I've written on this site, has broken 500 views. I never expected to reach such a milestone, let alone so early during my time on this site. While it's nothing major in the grand scheme of things, it's big enough to announce since I never expected it to happen.

I've recently outlined a new, slice of life tale that I feel much happier about than my old idea. It stars Silver Spoon, who breaks up with Diamond Tiara after an argument, and involves quite a bit of exploration on the history and culture of not just Ponyville, but Equestria as a whole. So if you have a deep love for world building, I may have a story that you will like, but don't worry, I have an idea of how the characters in this story will grow over the course of the tale.

So I'm looking over my big story, and seeing it again, I realize there is a lot more work that needs to be done than I ever imagined. Not just in style, but in plot as well, especially the plot. My next story might be the strangest thing I've ever written. It may not be to your liking, but if you like silly stories and were curious about some of my headcanons about certain supporting characters, then you're in luck.

In regards to a blog post now deleted, what I meant to say was that I wanted other people whose works were not getting recognized to be recognized, not mine. Any of you can promote me if you so desire, but I'm somewhat content with where I'm at. Hello again. The longer story I've referred to before is currently in progress, and already I've made an interesting discovery. For whatever reason, I feel like I have a lot more to say for this multi-chapter story as opposed to the one-shots I've done in the past. Nothing major or anything, but peculiar enough that I felt like blathering on about it.

Ever since I've started writing, I've noticed that I have way more free time than I had once thought. I guess that's the advantage of a summer break, I get to flex my writing muscles for a bit. Anyways, I'm considering challenging myself and starting a longer story. Not as long as a novel, but multiple chapters at the very least, so updates won't be daily once I begin working on this tale.

I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who replied to my plight the other day. I've got another short story I worked on coming soon, and I tried applying new techniques, especially in planning, that made me feel better about the finished product. Whether others like it or not is still a mystery to me, but I can already tell that from here on, my future stories will improve the more I write.

Well then, I got a bit cocky about my second work to where it didn't turn out well. At all. I'll post this to remind myself to proofread what I'm writing before I hit that irresistible submit button.
