I'll keep this short and sweet:

La Mer will not continue. I have my family to look after. They are the most important thing to me, and I wish it didn't have to take a tragedy for me to realize this.

All I can say is that you should tell those you care about that you love them, even if it's over the phone or through an email. A life without loved ones is a life not yet lived.

Due to a close family member's recent and sudden death, I will be taking a longer hiatus than I initially anticipated--probably somewhere between three to five months, depending on how long it takes to get their affairs in order and for me to fully heal from this event.

Thus, La Mer will not be updating in the foreseeable future.
