The next chapter I'll be publishing is not only the end of my latest novel. It's the end of the whole trilogy. The trilogy I started in 2011.
There may be additional short stories set in this universe featuring some of its characters, but this is definitely the last novel in this chronology.
Because of this, I'm making sure that every single important character's story is adequately concluded in the upcoming release. And as I'm working more and more on that, I'm realizing something.
The New Year is almost here. Here's hoping 2021 turns out at least a little better than 2020 has.
So picture this: It's New Year's Day. Some of you may have stayed up late, to celebrate at midnight. Many of you will have off from work or school. Maybe you'll be looking for something to pass the time while you relax on that first morning of the new year.
COVID is in my workplace now.
All I can think about is dying before I finish this book I'm writing for you guys. Which is weird. I guess it's cause all my other personal life goals are on hold indefinitely until (if?) the world reopens, and I don't have a girlfriend/kids/anyone I'm supporting, so this feels like the only thing that's having an impact on anyone else that I'm doing right now.
Hey guys.
I know it's been a long delay, but I've finally got a release date for the next chapter.
Chapter 18 of "Magic of the Heart" is coming a week from today! That's Sunday, November 22nd, in case you're not reading this post right away.
Thanks for your patience and stay tuned as we dive into the story's finale!

This is sort of both a progress report and a chance to ramble about some of the ups and downs of writing fanfics.
Right now, I've got three chapters left to publish in my latest novel, Magic of the Heart. It's been a month now since I last posted a chapter, and to be brutally honest, it's probably going to be at least a month more before the next one reaches the public eye.
Hey everyone.
I've kept a pretty consistent release schedule for the novel over the past year or so. 17 out of 20 chapters are already available, which means I'm making much faster progress than I did back when I wrote Hocus Pocus.
But just a heads up; the last few are going to be a bit slower.
We're starting to approach the end of the novel I've been writing for the last year or so.
And I'm running into the same sort of thing that seems to happen with every novel I write: the closer I get to the end of the book, the longer the chapters seem to get.
I'm making a significant life decision and need some unbiased opinions.
Time to ask random strangers on the internet!
For the last six years, I've been working at a food microbiology laboratory. It's an interesting job.
Unfortunately, for almost as long, it's also been in a constant state of massive turnover and unreasonable overtime.
Time for a little update on the status of the novel.
After consulting with my editors, who have had a chance to see further ahead in "Magic of the Heart" than the regular readers have, I've decided to make a change to the tags, just to make sure I'm covering all my bases.
