Ugh- I had NO idea using Zecora in my story would be so difficult! OK, I had an inkling of an idea but (insert sub-standard cuss word here)!!

If anyone is reading this, yeah I'm still writing the next chapter of Semper Paratus and I'm at a really critical meeting scene involving one rhyming Zebra. Unless I spontanteously combust from forming couplets this evening, I 'might' have the next chapter done this weekend. Might!

So after a friend of mine said she liked how "Semper Paratus" is starting, I decided to hit submit. Why did I feel ice climb up my spine as I saw the page change? Huurrmmm... maybe because writing FiM FanFic is outside my comfort zone? That could be it. Or the fact that a buncha' pony-pros are going to sink their meat hooks into my story (which was done as enjoyment) and tell me how it sucks. Whatever, like it or not I'm doing it for fun.

So after a small stint of reading some more stories on here, I'm caught up with my "read later" list. That places me back on the chopping block for my own scribblings of FiM- ugh, I wince at even typing that...

*sigh* So far I have not slipped into madness by writing the story and even have 2 chapters 99% done. Might go over them a couple more times for edits, seems like the "Fan Clubs" around here eat their own when it comes to 'Oh-my-gosh-you-didn't-punctuate-properly!'

So after reviewing the "rules" for posting stories here, none of my prior scribblings qualify. Not that I'm all hurt over it, I think I'll still sleep just fine. Gag- I think I've been reading too many of these stories now- I actually had a dream with one of the "Mane 6" in it. The dream itself wasn't particularly interesting but interacting with a pony in it left me feeling weird the next morning. Also- after carefully considering my options for writing something new... Alright, alright- I'm humble about it. I won't completely write off the FiM Fanfic stories... in fact, I have found some honest-to-goodness reading that has kept me up at night! What?!

Talking ponies... lots of them. I'm a writer- plain and simple, or is it? I've started my tenure here with reviews, some authors have responded kindly, others, not so much- if at all. I have found some really awesome stories here- surprise, surprise. I am, however, a little disturbed by the apparent lack of female writers. Com'on now, you're telling me that the only "audience" for FiM is boys and men? What is wrong with this statistic? Oh nothing.. just A LOT!
