I've learned the hard way that it's not a good idea to announce a release date of a work-in-progress. "Don't announce your intentions," a wise individual once said, "display your results." As of right now, I'm just going through the final draft to check for grammar. My unofficial release date for it is the 15th. We'll see if I can get it all wrapped up by then. And I would absolutely love to hear your reaction to each chapter as you read it. Please do leave some comments here and there once it's out.

Hey there! I don't think I can express how honoured I feel to know that you thought of me while writing this story. I actually read this comment two days ago and have been simply overawed such that now is the time that I have finally found my words again. I am excited to read this story, to be truthful, and I'll do my best to leave my feelings on each chapter as I go, so that, if you should like, you can see my initial reactions to each part. And honestly, no thanks are necessary, that statement was an expression of appreciation itself; I have adored everything I've seen you write since the first story I encountered. I remembered you saying that with luck this story would most likely be out in September, and so I have been keeping that in my subconscious and watching the calendar. Suffice to say, I have also been thinking of you and your work lately.

Seven months later, and I'm back. Hello again. You've been on my mind lately, and I thought I'd let you know that my next story is very near completion. It may be ready for publication within a week. It is said that one should write a story with a single reader in mind, and shape that story in a way that this (imaginary) reader would find perfect. I don't know if you'll like this story--and it's okay if you don't--but I wanted you to know that this one is for you. The comment you left on Cream and Sugar has been an incredible inspiration to me. This is my weird little way of saying thank you.

Of course! I always enjoy stories addressing the mortality of the characters and the inconsistency between their lifespans, it underlines the actual interpersonal distance between the species or between the princesses and other ponies. And it has been rare in my experience to find one that does so with such warmth throughout, that is to say that often writers focus on the sadness and make it rather blunt, where you kept the general tone somewhat upbeat and the focus was on the conversation in the present rather than straightforward lamentation of the past, at least up until the very end. So I think yours was more like a city chill where it sets into your bones while you are distracted with everything else, and then becomes all you can think about once you've completely succumbed to the cold. It can be poetic in either case, but I rather liked yours for its relative freshness among all the others.

Thanks for adding Patience, She Said to your favorites. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
