The first series is better than the 'Dawn of War 2' series in my opinion, and Winter Assault has still got to be my all time favorite. Anyway, hope you enjoy them.

Well the Dawn of War series is good if you like computer games, or you could look into the table top game if you really want to know the lore. There is also a website called Lexicanum that has all you need to know on most everything in the 40k universe.
