A happy update on my niece! · 12:41am Jun 2nd, 2016
As of two days ago, she can see!
For the first time in almost two weeks, she smiled!
She is almost back to her old self!
The smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

Remember when I said she was having seizures, and it was looking like she didn't receive any brain damage?
Well, she did. Her occipital lobe was damaged. The occiptial lobe is important to being able to correctly understand what your eyes are seeing.
So in short, she is blind. Fortunately though, it is something that — given enough time — can correct itself.
As some of you may remember, I have a niece who has hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS).
Last Monday, she had her 7th heart surgery. She made it through just fine. But the next day when they were cleaning her throat (They have to clean her throat because she has tubes to help her breath.) her heart stopped. They had to administer cpr for five minutes while she still had an open chest.
They were able to bring her back, and she was doing fine. Then she started having seizures.
I haven't talked to anyone in a while, so I decided to do an AMA!
Ask me anything you want!
I missed my three year FIMFic anniversary on April 27th!
If someone told me three years ago that I would have 336 followers, I would have laughed and said, "Yeah, right."
I also would have been wrong!
I just want to thank all of my friends and followers for making my three years on FIMFiction absolutely amazing!
You're all the best!
Someone just wiped out on their motorcycle right in front of my house!
Normally I would feel bad for them, but they were going 50+ MPH in a 30 MPH zone, at night. Plus it's spring in Minnesota, so there is still sand all over the road from winter time.
To be blunt about it, I'm not doing too well emotionally.
I've been trying to find a way to best explain why for the last hour or so, but the only way I can explain it without writing the longest blog on the site is by being very vague about it.
The reason I'm not doing too well is because of certain problems and events currently going on in my life. These problems and events – fortunately – are ones that can be solved relatively easily, they'll just take some time.
On Monday, I was feeling normal. Got some stuff done around the house and put a new radiator in my car.
Come Tuesday, I'm puking my guts out all day, wishing someone would kill me.
Now today I feel perfectly fine again...
I can give a total now, too!
For those who don't know, I live in Kasson.
Anyway, I have a few pics!
That's what it looked like at 4:30 in the morning.
That is a 4-door Honda Civic, buried in snow... I had to shovel that out...
