Two Pokemon, Reshiram and Zekrom, are blasted into Equestria by a Sonic Rainboom and transformed into Alicorns. Meanwhile, evil arises in Canterlot. Will Reshiram and Zekrom aid Twilight Sparkle and her friends in saving Equestria?
Reshiram and Zekrom end up in Equestria via Sonic Rainboom and are transformed into Alicorn Ponies! While getting used to the change, making new friends and deciding whether or not they want to leave Equestria, an evil arises in Canterlot. Reshiram and Zekrom are dragged along by none other than Twilight Sparkle and her friends to Equestria's capitol per request of Her Highness Princess Celestia. Will they aid Twilight and her friends in saving Equestria?

Alternate Universe because it's just The Return of Harmony with Reshiram and Zekrom along for the ride, and some events may be a little different than cannon. *SPOILERS* Oh, and Discord flirts with Reshiram. Oh my. *END OF SPOILERS* (That's one of the only bits of romance in this, so I didn't feel the need to use the tag.)
It was a beautiful day in Unova. Reshiram was sitting on a grassy hill, enjoying the fresh air and the sights of her region of the Pokemon realm. Her long ponytails waved in the breeze. Suddenly, a burst of rainbow appeared and swept the land, knocking Reshiram off her feet.
"What was that?" she questioned. She became very dizzy, and her vision went black.
Meanwhile, a cyan Pegasus mare with a rainbow mane was soaring in the Equestrian sky, relishing her victory. Rainbow Dash has done it again: she has performed the Sonic Rainboom. She flew in the part of the sky that belonged to the town of Ponyville when she spotted something unusual on the ground. She decided to investigate.
As she flew closer, Rainbow Dash saw what looked like, at first glance, a white Pegasus mare. Her mane was styled like Fluttershy's but streaked in black and white instead of being soft pink in color. Her Cutie Mark appeared to be a single black flame, dark as night. What scared Rainbow was the fact that the mare appeared to be unconscious, eyes closed and motionless.
" Oh gosh! I can't just sit here and do nothing!" she exclaimed.
She landed in front of the mare, wanting to help her in anyway possible if needed.
"Are you okay?" Rainbow asked. Two words echoed in her mind when the mare didn't respond.
"Oh no."
A voice, feminine in origin, interrupted. "Need some help?" it asked, curious.
Rainbow was startled by the voice, but she knew who it belonged to. She turned to her left to see a lavender Unicorn mare standing there. Her mane was a navy blue color with pink and violet streaks. Her Cutie Mark was a pink six-pointed star surrounded by white stars.
"Twilight!" Rainbow exclaimed. Twilight Sparkle's horn flashed magenta, and she levitated the unconscious mare into the air.
"We should probably take her to the hospital. She could be seriously hurt!"
"Well, let's go!" Rainbow Dash urged. The two ponies then trotted their way to Ponyville's hospital, hoping this mysterious Pegasus mare was okay.
"Do you think she'll be okay?" Rainbow asked.
"She is breathing, so I'm sure she's just fine." Twilight replied, her voice cheery in tone in order to calm her Pegasus friend. It was then that the mare opened her bright blue eyes, as if awoken by the two ponies' conversation.
She looked at the hospital bed in panic and asked in worry, "How in the world of Giratina did I get here?"
Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow and asked skeptically, "What the heck is a Giratina?"
Ignoring Rainbow Dash, Twilight explained to the mare in a soothing tone how they discovered her in an unfortunate state on the ground. The mare seemed to understand and calmed down. Nurse Redheart trotted into the room, informing Twilight that she may take the mare out of the hospital.
As they walked out of the hospital, Twilight introduced herself and Rainbow Dash to their new acquaintance. "What's your name?" she asked once she was finished.
"Oh, my name is Reshiram." the mare replied.
"Well, nice to meet you, Reshiram!" Rainbow Dash said, soaring above them. Twilight, however, was surprised. The name Reshiram was familiar to her. But why? Did she read it in a book somewhere? If so, which one? Or did somepony mention a Reshiram in conversation?
While Twilight was pondering this, Rainbow Dash had a brilliant idea! "I got it! You come with me, Reshiram, and I'll give you a tour of Ponyville! I'm SURE you're going to love it!"
"Rainbow Dash, do you think you can make the library the last place you guys visit?" Twilight asked her exited friend, a glimmer of yearning for discovery and knowledge in her eyes.
"Uh...OK!" the rainbow Pegasus agreed. "What for, though?" she added with a shrug.
"Research." Twilight said. "But I didn't want my research to ruin your tour, so after you've seen everything else, come to the library, OK?.
"Alright, egghead." Rainbow teased. Twilight trotted away to do her studying, rolling her eyes at the nickname Dash had given her. Rainbow Dash then led Reshiram into the little town of Ponyville.
"C'mon, Reshiram. Our first stop is Sweet Apple Acres!"
"Here we are!" Rainbow Dash announced, waving a hoof majestically around the area. "Sweet Apple Acres! Now, where is Applejack?"
It was then a voice with a southern drawl called out, "YEEHAWW!!" Rainbow Dash and Reshiram turned to the orchards to see a pastel orange pony race toward a tree, then give said tree a strong kick. The apples in the tree then fell into wooden barrels.
"Nice work as always, Applejack." Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh howdy, Rainbow Dash! Didn't see ya there." Applejack greeted, removing her Stetson. Reshiram noticed that this pony, Applejack, didn't have wings like Rainbow Dash or a horn like that lavender pony.... what was her name again? Oh yeah! Twilight Sparkle. "Er, who's that?" Applejack asked, referring to Reshiram.
"Oh, right! This is Reshiram." Rainbow said. "She's new around here." The country mare shook Reshiram's hoof. "Well, howdy do, Miss Reshiram. Pleasure makin' yer acquaintance!" Reshiram nodded in return.
She then noticed the mark on Applejack's flank: three red apples. Rainbow Dash had one too: a red, yellow, and blue lightning bolt shooting out of a fluffy white cloud. "What's that for?" she asked.
Applejack looked confused. "Ya must be REALLY new." she commented. "This here's a Cutie Mark. When somepony discovers their true destiny, they get a lil' shiner on their flanks." Reshiram looked at her flank, did she have a mark? She did! A black flame.
"Cool." she remarked.
"You gals wanna come in fer lunch?" Applejack asked.
"Sure!" Rainbow Dash said. They trotted toward the farmhouse, with Reshiram deep in thought.
"If yer new, I'm surprised ya haven't met Pinkie Pie yet!"
Reshiram, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash sat around a wooden table as they waited for lunch. It was being prepared by an elderly mare with a green coat, her silvery mane and tail both tied into buns. Her Cutie Mark was a freshly baked apple pie.
"That's mah Granny Smith, Reshiram." Applejack said.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Smith." Reshiram said.
"Pleasure makin' yer acquaintance! But please, just call me Granny!" Granny Smith replied. "Everypony else does. I don't mind none." Reshiram nodded. She looked toward Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
"Why don't you and Granny Smith have wings or horns?" she asked Applejack.
Applejack was confused at her question again, but explained anyway. There was something ....otherworldly.... about Reshiram, and Applejack felt a need to help her understand Equestria. Either that or she had a really weird case of amnesia. But Applejack was leaning toward the otherworldly theory.
"There be several species o' ponies 'n our land o' Equestria." she began. "Me, Granny Smith, the majority o' mah relatives, and a lot o' other ponies without wings or horns be known as Earth Ponies. Don't mean ta brag, but we Earth Ponies have rather large amounts o' strength. Rainbow Dash here is a Pegasus, ponies like 'er be known as Pegasi. Pegasi be speedy an' competitive. Ponies with horns be known as Unicorns. They can perform magic with their fancy horns. They be doin' some mighty 'mpressive things with that. Last but not least, there be ponies that got all the traits o' the previously mentioned species. They be known as Alicorns. Strength o' an Earth Pony, wings an' flight o' a Pegasi, an' horns and magical capabilities o' a Unicorn!"
"How fascinating!" Reshiram said.
Suddenly, some dust landed on Reshiram's nose, and she sneezed. When she did, flames shot out of her nose! The smell of something burnt was left behind, and Applejack's Stetson was a little singed.
"Did ya just sneeze FIRE, or was that jus' mah 'magionation?" Applejack asked.
Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle was dashing around her tree library home, searching for answers to quell her curiosity. A purple and green baby dragon poked his head into the room, also with curiosity, but it was about the commotion his friend was making. "Chill out, Twilight. What are you even doing?" he asked.
"Hey, Spike! I'm just searching for a book about creatures from other worlds." Twilight said, slowing down a little to speak to him.
"Creatures from other worlds? Why?" Spike questioned, a confused look on his face.
"Because I think I may have met one." Twilight replied, levitating several books and scrolls with her magic to examine their titles.
Spike's dragon eyes widened. Twilight has met an otherworldly creature? How cool was that? Even better, he knew of a book that could help her. He quickly ran over to a tall shelf over to his right and grabbed a ladder. He climbed the ladder until he reached the highest level of the shelf and reached for a thick green book. Spike then climbed back down the ladder and presented the book to Twilight with a flourish. "I think this could be of assistance."
Twilight smiled warmly and thanked her number one assistant. She opened the novel and set it down on a desk to read. Spike shook out his claws from carrying the rather heavy volume. "Now what?" he asked.
"You can go to Sugarcube Corner to get something to eat, if you want." Twilight answered, 90% of her attention being on the book as she searched the index. What she was looking for would be under "R".
"Thanks, Twilight!" Spike replied, heading towards the door while grabbing a few bits. Just as he closed the door, Twilight gasped in surprise.
She wasn't to sure she would find what she was looking for, but she found it. She turned to page 242 in the book and began to read aloud to herself.
"Reshiram is one of the many Pokemon creatures. She resides in the Unova region and is classified as a Dragon-Fire type Pokemon. She is one of the rare and powerful Legendary Pokemon and is said to aid a hero who believes in the truth when the need arises."
The book showed a picture of a white dragon-like creature, furry rather than scaly. A hoofnote was next to the picture. It said, "See also: Zekrom, page 342"
Twilight turned to the page. It seemed that this "Zekrom" was associated with Reshiram in the myths and stories. It was all very interesting and strange to Twilight. A million questions ran through her head like bullet trains. Could the Reshiram she met be the one described in the book? How did she turn into a pony? Why did she turn into a pony? Was Zekrom also in Equestria somehow, since he and Reshiram are connected? If so, did Zekrom also turn into a pony? Twilight was growing exited at the thought of finding answers to these questions and more, but she tried to stay calm. It was almost lunchtime, and she was going to meet up with Pinkie Pie for lunch. She will have to pick up the research again later.
Chapter 4: Fluttershy's Cottage and Carousel Boutique
"What in the name of Arceus is going on?" was the question in Zekrom's throbbing head. There was that rainbow explosion, and he felt very different. He was barely conscious. All he heard was birds and other creatures chattering while a soft, feminine voice was pleading for him to be okay. Then, his vision went black.
"Oh, thank Celestia you're alright!"
Zekrom woke to a rather strange sight. A pastel yellow pony was staring down at him. Her mane was light pink, and most of it hid her face and her teal eyes. "She's kind of pretty." Zekrom thought. A white bunny sat on her head.
"Where am I?..." Zekrom mumbled, the head pain returning. He tried to sit up.
"It's okay, just lay down and rest, you'll feel so much better." the yellow pony said, forcing Zekrom to lay back down. "I'll be right back to get your soup." She trotted away into another room. As she walked away, Zekrom noticed wings tucked to her sides and a strange mark on her flank: three pink butterflies. The white bunny hopped down from his perch on her head and bounded over to the couch where Zekrom was resting. It jumped onto the armrest and looked at Zekrom with confusion and concern. Zekrom offered a weak smile to it. The bunny smiled back and jumped off the armrest. The yellow pony trotted back into the room, balancing a tray of hot tomato soup with her wings. Zekrom sat up to eat, already feeling a little bit better from the smell of the soup. It's scent was rather invigorating. He slurped the soup while the yellow pony introduced herself. "You seem new around here." she said. "I'm Fluttershy. What's your name?"
"What's your bunny's name?" Zekrom asked, watching said bunny take his place on Fluttershy's head.
"His name is Angel." Fluttershy said. "He's rather picky sometimes, and really isn't a fan of other ponies. He seems to like you, though."
There was silence for sometime as Zekrom slurped at his soup.Then Fluttershy remembered something. "How did a Unicorn like you end up crashed out in my yard?" she asked Zekrom.
Zekrom was about to answer, but something didn't seem right about her question. "Unicorn?"
Fluttershy raised an eyebrow at this. She had this feeling that Zekrom wasn't even from Equestria, but this pretty much confirmed it. She had to show him the truth. She pointed Zekrom to a mirror. When he saw his reflection, he gasped.
He saw a black stallion who's mane was styled like Rainbow Dash's. It was streaked in black and white. He noticed that he had a mark on his flank like Fluttershy. However, instead of butterflies, his mark was a single white lightning bolt, almost blinding against his black coat. Red eyes showed a panicked expression. How in the world of Giratina did this happen?! He also had wings, flared out in being startled. Fluttershy didn't notice that, though, for all of her animals were all scurrying around and she was trying to calm them down. Zekrom must have gasped pretty loud. He tucked his wings back to his sides as she said, "Come on, Zekrom. They'll probably calm down if we give them some space. I'll take you into Ponyville."
Fluttershy took Zekrom to a place called Carousel Boutique. "This is my friend Rarity's shop." Fluttershy explained. "She really loves making dresses. Me and her were going to the spa today, and I thought maybe a spa treatment might help you feel better." The two ponies went inside. A bell jingled as Fluttershy opened the door. "Ting-a-ling!"
Zekrom was impressed. Dozens of mannequins were scattered around the elegant shop. Some were bare, but others displayed beautiful dresses made with jewels and metallic fabrics. There were clothes for stallions, too. Zekrom spotted a white tux, complete with a dark blue bowtie and a top hat. "Think I would look good in that tux?" he asked.
"Well, you're always welcome to try it on!" a sophisticated voice said. Zekrom and Fluttershy turned around to see a white Unicorn walk into the room. Her mane was violet and curled. She had three blue diamonds on her flank. A random question popped into Zekrom's head. Why are the majority of the ponies here female, and why are they so pretty?
"Hi, Rarity." Fluttershy greeted.
"Hello, Fluttershy!" Rarity said. "Who's this?" she asked, positioning herself next to Zekrom.
"This is Zekrom." Fluttershy replied.
"Well, I must say, it's a pleasure to meet you, dear Zekrom." Rarity said, shaking Zekrom's hoof.
"Are you ready to go to the spa?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes, of course!" the white Unicorn said. "I do need to stop at Twilight's first, if you don't mind."
"Not at all." the yellow Pegasus said.
Just as they set out for Twilight's, Rainbow Dash and Reshiram arrive at the aforementioned tree library.
Chapter 5: The Meeting of Zekrom and Twilight and Celestia's Urgent Letter
"Last but definitely not least, Golden Oaks Library!" Rainbow Dash announced. "This is also where Twilight lives." she added.
As if on cue, Twilight Sparkle opened the door to see the two ponies standing there. "Hello Rainbow Dash. Hello Reshiram." she greeted.
"Oh, hey Twilight!" Rainbow Dash replied. "I brought Reshiram here last, just like you asked. Hey, that kind of rhymed!"
"Well, maybe you could try a hoof at poetry. Most poems involve rhyming." the lavender librarian suggested.
"Maybe I will later. I think I'll practice my tricks for the Wonderbolts. See you later, Twilight!" the rainbow Pegasus said, flying away.
"Reshiram, you do realize that you've turned into a pony, right?" Twilight asked Reshiram gently.
Reshiram nodded silently. She had figured it out when she noticed the black flame symbol on her flank. What was it called again? A Cutie Mark? Yes, that must be it. Something about what Twilight had asked her wasn't right, however. "Wait, how did you know I wasn't always a pony?"
"I don't know how it was in my library, but there was a book that mentioned you." Twilight began. "When you told me and Rainbow Dash your name, it sounded familiar, so I looked to see if I saw it in one of my books. Turns out I was right. So are you really one of those Pokemon creatures?"
Reshiram nodded again. Whenever she shook her head, her long, thick mane shook all over the place. It may have been Twilight's imagination, but the attentive Unicorn noticed something very shocking. Something hiding under that very thick mane of Reshiram's.
"Hey, Reshiram?" Twilight asked. "This may sound a tiny bit weird, but could you lift up your mane?"
Reshiram did what the Unicorn asked. Twilight gasped. "What?" Reshiram questioned. "Is there something on my face?"
Twilight stayed in a state of shock for a few seconds. Reshiram did have something on not her face, but her forehead.

Reshiram put her mane back down. When she did, she looked like an ordinary Pegasus. She gave Twilight a quizzical look.
"Reshiram, have you been told about the kinds of ponies of Equestria?" Twilight asked. Reshiram nodded.
"Including the Alicorns?"
"Yes...?" Reshiram had no idea where Twilight was taking this.
"Well, I have something to tell you...." Twilight began.
"What?" Reshiram asked.
"You're an Alicorn." Twilight announced.
Reshiram gasped. But before she could say anything else, there was a knock on the library door.
Twilight opened the door. Rarity and Fluttershy were standing there, along with a strange Unicorn stallion. "Hello, Twilight!" Rarity greeted.
"Hi, Rarity. Did you need something?"
"Just a book to read at the spa, if you don't mind." Rarity replied, stepping in the library. Fluttershy and the Unicorn stallion followed the fashionista inside, Fluttershy closing the door behind her.
It wasn't long before the visitors noticed Reshiram. "Hello, darling!" Rarity said. "I don't think I've seen you around before! What's your name, darling?"
"I'm Reshiram." the white Alicorn replied.
"What a lovely name!" Rarity commented. "My name's Rarity. If you ever get the chance, stop by Carousel Boutique, will you? I think I could make you a really fabulous dress!"
Reshiram nodded. Rarity seemed like a really nice pony. In fact, all the ponies she met today were very welcoming and friendly. This made Reshiram smile.
Fluttershy worked up all the courage she had to introduce herself. "Oh, um, hello, m-my name's Fluttershy...."
"Nice to meet you, Fluttershy." Reshiram replied. "I used to be shy, too."
"Really? It happens to me all the time, especially around new ponies...." Fluttershy said.
Reshiram gave the mare a smile to comfort her. Fluttershy smiled back.
Reshiram turned her attention to the stallion looking around the library, oblivious to everything. "He's kind of handsome." she thought. Something about him seemed familiar to Reshiram. Did she know him somehow? She only saw a few stallions here and there in Ponyville. The only one that talked to her was a brown Earth Pony with an hourglass Cutie Mark. He was with this gray Pegasus mare with a blond mane and gold eyes. What was her name again? Derpy Hooves?
Zekrom was impressed at the tree library and it's librarian, who happens to be yet another pretty mare. But then he turned to the mare sitting on the floor. This mare was far from pretty. She was beautiful. Zekrom was speechless. But something about this mare seemed familiar to him. Maybe his brain was playing tricks on him because of the piece of pure beauty and life in front of him. The mare was staring at him now with those startlingly familiar blue eyes. All he could do was stare back. Eventually he got the courage to speak to her. He sat next to the mare and said, "Hi."
"Hello." the mare replied. There was silence for a few minutes before she said, "You seem familiar. Have we met? My name is Reshiram."
Zekrom's heart skipped a beat. "How in the name of Arceus did you end up in the same place I did?" he asked out loud.
Reshiram gasped, shocked at the stallion's question. "Y-you know of Arceus?" she asked.
The stallion nodded. "Reshiram, it's been awhile." he began. "But it's me. Zekrom."
Reshiram gasped again, but she wasn't alone in the gaspfest. Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy all stood with mouths open.
"You two know each other?" Rarity asked.
"YOU'RE Zekrom?!" Twilight asked.
Zekrom nodded to both questions, then asked Twilight, "You know me?"
Twilight levitated the book she was reading earlier toward Zekrom. Zekrom flared his wings out in surprise at the fact that he was in a book for ponies to read.
Twilight gasped again. Zekrom was also a Alicorn!! "Where's Spike?" she asked "I need to write a letter to the Princess!"
"Dear Princess Celestia, there is something important you must be aware of." Twilight began, Spike writing down her words on parchment with a quill.
"Two new ponies showed up in Ponyville. This is not unusual, but these ponies aren't actually ponies. They come from another world, a place where creatures known as Pokemon reside. Somehow, they were transported to Equestria and transformed into ponies. But they did't turn into normal ponies. They turned into Alicorns! Do you have any advice on this situation? Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."
Spike finished writing, rolled the parchment into a scroll, then went over to an open window. He took a deep breath, then exhaled green flames on the scroll. The remains flew away and disappeared. Reshiram was thoroughly confused. She, as a Fire type Pokemon, knew how fire worked. "Are you sure this 'Princess Celestia' will receive that?"
"It's the fastest way for me to contact with her." Twilight explained. "Spike's fire doesn't work like normal fire. It's magical fire that we use to send letters. It sure beats snail mail and having to wait for a few days for a response."
Reshiram nodded. "Seems legit."
A few seconds later, Spike burped out fire. The fire transformed into a scroll. "That was fast!" Spike said.
"My faithful student Twilight, thank you for informing me about your otherworldly encounter. There is something I need to inform you of, however. Please come to Canterlot immediately. You teacher, Princess Celestia."
Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Reshiram and Zekrom were riding the train to Equestria's capital, which was on a mountain near Ponyville. Reshiram and Zekrom were impressed at the scenery as their manes flew in the wind. "So beautiful." Reshiram commented.
"It is a sight to behold." Twilight said, sticking her head out of the window next to Reshiram. "You know, I used to live in Canterlot."
"Really?" Zekrom asked.
Twilight nodded. "It's where I was born. See, Princess Celestia is my personal teacher, and she sent me to Ponyville to make some friends. I didn't really care about friendship back then, but after we stopped an evil mare of darkness together, I realized I valued my new friends, and Princess Celestia let me stay in Ponyville."
"Wow." Reshiram said.
"Yep!" Pinkie Pie said. "I still remember the 'Welcome to Ponyville' party I threw for you like it happened yesterday!"
"You really like parties, don't you, Pinkie Pie?" Zekrom asked.
"Well, DUH! I'm still sad I didn't throw you two a 'Welcome to Ponyville' party." Pinkie answered, a glum look on her usually happy face.
"It's all right, sugarcube." Applejack said, wrapping a hoof around her friend. " Perhaps we can have a party later. Wouldn't that be nice?"
"I still don't get it." Rainbow Dash said. "What does Princess Celestia need us to come to Canterlot for?"
"She did make it sound pretty important, but she didn't say it had to do with Reshiram and Zekrom." Rarity noted.
"You're right, she didn't!" Twilight said. "There's still the possibility it could be about them, however."
"True." Rarity said.
"Maybe it's about those weird pink clouds." Rainbow Dash thought out loud.
"Pink clouds?" Pinkie Pie asked. "That's something I want to see!"
Everypony stared at the hyperactive pink mare.
"What?" she asked. "It would be interesting, and since they're pink, they could look just like me! I could make a cloud clone of myself! I wonder what the clouds would taste like?"
"Pinkie Pie, you are SO RANDOM." Rainbow Dash said.
"I know!" Pinkie replied.
"Tell us about these pink clouds." Twilight said promptly.
"So I was flying around Ponyville, when these pink clouds appeared out of nowhere! It's not supposed to rain until tomorrow! So I tried to remove them, but they zoomed away before I could give them a good kick." Rainbow Dash began.
"The clouds moved by themselves?" Fluttershy questioned. "Were you near the Everfree Forest?"
"Not even close to the Everfree! I was flying over Town Hall!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
"That is a might confusin', sugarcube." Applejack said.
"Well, whatever Princess Celestia needs us for, we're going to find out what it is." Twilight announced. "We're here."
Canterlot is very shiny and white. Lots of high society-looking ponies were trotting around. Some of them recognized Twilight and Rarity and said hello. They may have looked very fancy, but none of the ponies of Canterlot seemed too snobbish. In fact, just like all the other ponies Reshiram and Zekrom had met, they were quite friendly and welcoming. Of course, as one would expect, they were awed by the city.
"I still dream of living here someday, even though I love Ponyville with all my heart." Rarity said.
"I think a pony like you would fit in quite well." Reshiram commented.
They reached what appeared to be the castle. Two Royal Guards stood in front of the massive doors. Both were white Pegasus stallions wearing golden armor. They seemed to recognize Twilight and moved aside to let the group pass.
Once they were in the throne room, Reshiram and Zekrom were introduced to Princess Celestia. She was a very tall white Alicorn whose tri-colored mane flowed in an invisible wind. "It's a pleasure to meet you, your Majesty." Zekrom said.
Celestia giggled a little. "It is the same here, Zekrom, but there is no need for the title."
She continued."You are all most likely wondering why I have summoned you all here. It does not have to do with the arrival of Reshiram and Zekrom, but the safety of Equestria."
"Equestria's in danger? How?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"All old foe of mine has returned." Princess Celestia said. "A foe I thought to be defeated a long time ago."
She started questioning herself "But it doesn't make sense. How has he returned?"
Suddenly, laughter was heard out of seemingly nowhere. It sounded evil. "Make sense?" a voice asked. "What fun is there in making sense?"
There was a flash of light over by one of the stained glass windows that lined the hall. The snake-like creature with a mishmash of body parts from different animals came to life and asked, "Did you miss me, Celestia? I missed you."
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "Who do you think you are, talking to Princess Celestia like that?" She charged at the window, only for her to faceplant against it.
"Well, if it isn't the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash!" Discord said.
"H-how did you know that?" Rainbow Dash stammered.
"I know a lot of things, my dear." Discord replied.
"The Element of Generosity! Rarity, I presume?" Discord asked.
"What's he going on about?" Reshiram whispered to Twilight.
"It's a long story, I'll explain in a little bit." Twilight replied.
"I can hear you Twilight Sparkle, wielder of the most powerful Element!" Discord snarked.
"Will ya just shut up?" Applejack snarled.
"There was a nicer way to request that of me, Element of Honesty."
"C-can he just stop pointing us out like that?" Fluttershy stammered.
"Oh, poor Element of Kindness." Discord said. "Shy much? A little recognition doesn't hurt, you know."
"Just stop this nonsense!" Zekrom shouted.
"What nonsense?" Pinkie Pie asked. "I wasn't paying attention."
"I wasn't either, Element of Laughter." Discord said.
Everypony was in a rage, and Discord was loving it. "It's SO good to be back."
He set his eyes on the white mare with the black and white mane. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" He peeled himself off of the window he was in and stood in front of her. He couldn't help but think that the mare was pretty. Well, actually most of the mares in Equestria were pretty, but there was something about this particular mare that attracted him. "What's your name, my dear?" he asked her.
"I thought you said you knew who we all are." the mare replied, turning away from him.
"Yes, well, it is rare when Pokemon come to Equestria." Discord said.
"You know about that?" Zekrom asked.
"Of course! But there are many, MANY Pokemon in that realm of yours, and more are being discovered everyday. I can only IMAGINE what those Pokemon professors go through. Besides, you two could be ANY kind of Pokemon: you could be a tiny Pichu or a fully grown and evolved Serperior. Heck, you could be one of those Legendary Pokemon!" Discord explained.
"Well, I'll give you credit for the Legendary part." Zekrom replied.
"Oh." Discord said.
"Leave Reshiram and Zekrom out of this, Discord." Princess Celestia demanded.
"EXCUSE me, Princess, I just wanted to get to know our two new guests." Discord replied. "It's vital for our game."
"Game? Can I play?" Pinkie Pie asked excitedly.
"Well, of course, Pinkie Pie, EVERYPONY in this room gets to play!" Discord said. "You'll have to catch up with me to find out the rules, however, for I really must get going. There's chaos to spread. Good luck finding your Elements of Harmony!" Discord then proceeded to teleport out of the room.
"He took the Elements of Harmony?!" Twilight raged.
"It appears that he has." Princess Celestia announced, looking into an empty blue case.
"I know!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We'll find the Elements, then bring them back to you so you can stop Discord!"
"While that is good thinking, Rainbow Dash, there is one problem." Celestia said.
"W-what is it?" Fluttershy asked.
"While me and Princess Luna have used the Elements of Harmony in the past," Celestia began, "we are no longer connected to them. It's up to you to stop Discord."
"What?!" Pinkie Pie shouted.
"The Elements of Harmony's power is in your hooves now, and so is the fate of Equestria." Celestia explained.
"Before we do anything, Twilight, what are the Elements of Harmony?" Reshiram asked.
"The Elements of Harmony are ancient magical artifacts." Twilight explained. "Very powerful artifacts. Princess Celestia, along with her sister Princess Luna, used them to stop Discord in the past. Then Princess Celestia used them again when Luna turned into Nightmare Moon. Then they fell into our hooves when Nightmare Moon came back."
"Why did Princess Luna turn into this 'Nightmare Moon'?" Zekrom asked.
"Simply put, she felt ignored." Twilight said. "You see, in Equestria, Princess Celestia is the Princess of the Sun. She raises the Sun in the morning and brings light using her magic. Princess Luna is the Princess of the Night. She uses her magic to raise the Moon for nighttime. Because everypony works and plays in the daytime and sleeps though the night, Princess Luna one day refused to lower the Moon for Princess Celestia to raise the Sun. She then turned into Nightmare Moon, and threatened to bring eternal night. Princess Celestia used the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the Moon for 1,000 years."
"Wow." Reshiram said.
"It's like history is repeating itself." Zekrom added.
Chapter 8: Let's Play Find the Elements of Harmony!
"The Elements have to be in the maze, I just know it." Twilight said.
The sky was rather dark and gloomy over the Canterlot Gardens maze. So everypony was surprised when a bright flash of light suddenly appeared. When the light faded, Discord was standing there with an evil grin plastered on his face. Rainbow Dash made a rather regretful move and charged at the draconequus. It was then Discord snapped his fingers. Rainbow Dash fell in mid flight. She looked towards her back. Her wings were gone!
"My wings!!" she gasped.
Twilight and Rarity looked up at their foreheads. Their horns were gone! "My horn!" they shouted in unison. They looked at each other. "Your horn! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Discord grinned at their rage. He loved this. Bringing chaos to Equestria through chocolate rain and polka-dotted buildings.
"Was that necessary, Discord?" Reshiram asked, having noticed that her and Zekrom's horns and wings were missing as well.
"Why, of course, my dear Reshiram." Discord said. "You see, this is the first rule of our game: no wings and no magic." He stoked Reshiram's face as he said this.
"Don't. Touch. Me." Reshiram demanded, very unamused.
"You could at least say 'please'." Discord replied.
"All right, Discord." Twilight said. "Is there any other rules we need to be informed about?"
"Well, somepony's enthusiastic about our game!" Discord said. "Rule number 2 is that everypony must play or I win."
"That ain't goin' ta be too difficult." Applejack said.
"So you think." Discord challenged. "Good luck, everypony!" he added, teleporting away.
"He may have taken our wings and horns, but we still have each other." Twilight said.
Everypony nodded in agreement. They were ready to take on the search. They all took their first steps into the maze. When they did, bushy columns rose out of the ground, separating the eight friends.
The game began as everypony galloped off. They didn't know this, but Discord was watching them, silently floating above their heads. He messed with those heads, too. He manipulated each pony to be the opposite of who they really are. As an example Discord made Fluttershy very unkind, as well as making Rarity greedy. The things he had done to our little ponies were terrible, but Discord was enjoying it. He took a break from it all to count the ponies he corrupted.
"Let's see, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have all been messed with. Whose left? Only three? Well, we have Miss Twilight Sparkle, Zekrom, and....Reshiram...."
Once again, Discord felt very different from his normal self. It was always whenever he thought about Reshiram. His face was very flushed. What is it about Reshiram that makes him feel this way? Those blue eyes, that pure white coat, even more pure than Celestia's. Her thick black and white mane must be so soft, just like silk. "She's to die for." Discord said out loud. Then he realized what he was doing. "Why am I just sitting here? There's chaos to spread, and it isn't going to spread itself!" In a flash of light, Discord left the area.
Reshiram was exhausted. How long had she been galloping? Must have been awhile, for she was panting and dripping with sweat. Despite the cloudy weather, it felt like the hottest summer day. Usually, Reshiram wouldn't mind the heat, but she must have lost her resistance to boiling temperatures when she transformed. She was very thirsty, but there wasn't a single body of water around, and it wasn't going to be raining anytime soon. Eventually, she crashed to the ground in exhaustion. When she woke, she saw the strangest thing one might see.
When Reshiram woke up, she was sitting at a fancy table. "What the- how did I-"
"Not enjoying yourself? What a shame. I planned this especially for you, my dear." a voice said across the table.
Reshiram's facial expression was one of unamusement and surprise. It was Discord sitting across from her and not who she had hoped for. "What the heck, Discord?!"
Discord looked at her with concern. Reshiram gave Discord an unhappy look. "Care to explain yourself?"
Discord sighed. Reshiram cleared her throat, silently restating her request for some answers.
Discord took the hint and grinned devilishly. "Say, you were a Fire type Pokemon. Did you invent fire by any chance? Because you're just like it: hot."
"No, I did not invent fire, there are tons of other Fire types that came before me-" Reshiram stopped mid-sentence after realizing what Discord meant. "OH." She became very terrified. Discord was crushing on her?! What in the name of Arceus is going on?!?! She already had a crush, but even if she didn't, she still would NOT go on a date with Discord. Especially after what he has done to her friends.
"Yes, I know it is odd for a Master of Chaos such as me to have romantic feelings for somepony." Discord said. "But you, my dear, are not just an ordinary pony. Yes, that is kind of obvious, but even one who did not know of your true nature might fall for you. Your white coat is even more pure than Celestia's."
"You flatter me, Discord. But I have feelings for another." Reshiram admitted. "Why would I date someone- er, somepony-"
"I'm a draconequus." Discord interrupted.
"Whatever." Reshiram continued. "Anyway, why would I date you? Look at what you've done to Twilight Sparkle and her friends! Look at what you've done to Equestria! You may think it's all fun and games, but the ponies thrive in harmonious conditions. You're hurting them!"
"A simple 'no' would have sufficed." Discord replied sadly. "I have one other question, though. Who is this other pony you would give your heart to? Zekrom?"
"That's none of your business." Reshiram stated simply. The white Alicorn has had enough of Discord, plus the fact that he knew more than he should is kind of creepy.
"What if I told you that I could make your dreams come true in that case?" Discord proposed.
Reshiram raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"Now I have your attention." Discord said. "Just come closer and we'll begin."
Reshiram grinned and did what he asked. Discord grinned, too. He had Reshiram right where he wanted her. But before he could work his magic on her as he did the other ponies, Reshiram swung a hoof across his face. SMACK!
The date scene melted away, returning to the gloomy maze scene. Discord had teleported away in shock. Reshiram galloped away from that spot as fast as she could. As she did, one of the bushy walls sank into the ground. Zekrom was on the other side. Reshiram trotted over to him and gave him one of the biggest hugs ever. Both were blushing furiously.
"You have NO IDEA of what has just happened to me." Reshiram said. She was glad to be back.
Reshiram and Zekrom turned around in surprise. Another one of the walls had disappeared, and Twilight was trotting over. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity stayed behind.
"What happened to your friends?" Reshiram asked. "They look dull. Why does Rarity have a giant boulder? And where's Rainbow Dash?"
"I don't know." Twilight answered. "But I have a feeling Discord has something to do with it. Rarity's convinced that the boulder is a giant diamond, and Applejack has been telling lies! Applejack would never lie. This feels like some weird nightmare."
"Same here." Reshiram said, hugging her friend. "If a chaotic god crushing on you isn't weird, I don't know what is."
"What?!" Twilight and Zekrom asked unanimously.
"Let me explain!" Reshiram protested. "So I was trotting through this maze, looking for the Elements of Harmony. I was really exhausted, though, and I crashed out. I woke up to a date between me and Discord."
"W-what did you say to him?" Zekrom asked nervously.
"I told him no, obviously. Why would I date him? He's kind of annoying and creepy, he did all of those horrible things to Twilight's friends and to Equestria, and I already have feelings for somepony." Reshiram answered.
Zekrom breathed out a sigh of relief. Wait a minute, what was that last part? "Who do you have feelings for?" he blurted.
Reshiram's blush was as red as Groudon."T-that's nopony's business!" she stammered. "I'm not ready to confess yet."
Twilight grinned. "I think I know who it is." she said. But she said that inside her head, so nopony else heard it but her.
"Dang." Zekrom said. "Discord is an oddball."
"Yep." Reshiram agreed.
As soon as she said that, a bright flash of light was seen. (Guess who?)
"Speak of the devil and one shall appear." Reshiram quipped.
"What in the world of Giratina do you want, Discord?" Zekrom asked, very unamused. He was really tired of Discord.
Suddenly, Applejack started to laugh. For absolutely no reason whatsoever. This seemed to offend Pinkie Pie.
"And what are YOU laughing at?!" she asked angrily.
"Uh, chocolate milk?" was Applejack's response. Everypony just stared at her.
Suddenly, all of the walls of the maze sank into the ground. Now the ponies stood on barren wasteland. Discord snapped his fingers, and everypony got their horns and wings back. He then summoned a couch to watch Rarity buck Applejack in the face for suggesting she share her 'diamond'. It was really amusing. Discord worked his magic again to plop Reshiram on the couch next to him.
"Don't you even touch her, Discord." Zekrom began. "Or I swear to Arceus I will-" he was stopped mid-sentence. Discord gave Reshiram a poke. Zekrom knew the draconequus was trying to troll him, but he has had enough. Zekrom wasn't sure if what he was about to do would work, but he tried it anyway. He focused on Discord. As he concentrated, some electric sparks began to crackle all over Zekrom's body. He then fired a bolt of white-hot lightning, heading straight towards Discord. It hit his lion paw.
"YOWCH!" Discord screamed. He rubbed his sore lion paw, singed black by electricity. He disregarded his injury and said, "While that admittedly hurt, who cares if I'm hit by lightning? You didn't find the Elements of Harmony. You lost the game! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some chaos to spread." Discord then teleported away, laughing maniacally.
"I can't believe that worked." Zekrom said in shock.
"Me too, but not by much." Twilight replied. "Before all of this craziness with Discord happened, Rainbow Dash took Reshiram on a tour of Ponyville. While they were at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack told me Reshiram had sneezed, and fire shot out of her nose."
"I guess that means Reshiram and I still have the powers we had as Pokemon." Zekrom concluded.
Reshiram trotted over to them. "Thanks for zapping Discord, Zekrom." she said, giving the black Alicorn stallion a hug.
Twilight grinned. "You two would make such a great couple." But she said that inside her head, so nopony else heard it but her.
Her mood soured again as she watched Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy fighting. Plus, Discord was probably still secretly stalking Reshiram, Zekrom takes it upon himself to save Reshiram from Discord's craziness, and Rainbow Dash was Celestia knew where.
"I just want to go home." she sighed.
But then her face lit up. "Home! That's it! The Elements of Harmony are in Ponyville!"
Chapter 11: Trotting Back Down to Ponyville to End This Crazziness
"How did you figure out that the Elements of Harmony were actually in Ponyville?" Reshiram asked Twilight as they trotted down the dirt road leading into town.
"To be honest, I don't really know for sure. It's one of those 'you know it in your gut' moments." Twilight replied.
Suddenly, the sky went dark. "What the hay?" Twilight questioned. The sky not only got dark, but it was nighttime!
Then the sky changed back to day. But when Twilight took a step, she slipped and ended up sliding ahead of everypony. For the road wasn't dirt anymore: it was turned into soap!
Everypony else ended up sliding around, too. "You know, this may look like fun, but it really isn't." Pinkie Pie commented.
Even though Reshiram already knew that Discord had messed with Pinkie's head somehow, she still couldn't help but be surprised. This was totally something a pony like Pinkie Pie would love on a normal day.
Speaking of Discord, Reshiram also knew that he was responsible for the soapy road. "Okay, Discord, we know it's you." she said. "Geez, you are really starting to get on my nerves."
Discord appeared behind her. "Really? You knew it was me all along?" he asked innocently.
"Yes." Reshiram replied. "You are starting to become very predictable."
"A master of chaos such as myself is not predictable." Discord voiced.
"Whatever." Reshiram said.
"Besides, chaos is a wonderful, wonderful thing." Discord rambled. "Almost as wonderful as you."
Reshiram rolled her eyes. She had already turned Discord down, but apparently he doesn't care. He's still crushing on her, and Reshiram still finds it a little creepy.
"So what brought you back to Ponyville, hmm?" Discord asked, hanging upside down in front of Reshiram.
"Twilight thinks the Elements of Harmony were hidden here." Reshiram answered.
"Really?" Discord questioned. "That's cute. Because she certainly won't find them here. She does know that you already lost our little game, right?"
"That's when she decided we press the reset button." Reshiram said.
Twilight searched frantically around her tree library home for the book about the Elements of Harmony. All of her friends, except Reshiram and Zekrom, had left. They stood awkwardly next to each other as Twilight and Spike searched all the shelves.
"Oh! Here it is!!" Twilight exclaimed. She opened the book with her magic. To her surprise, the Elements of Harmony themselves were inside! (That kind of rhymed!)
"So those are the Elements of Harmony?" Zekrom asked.
"This one's mine." Twilight said, levitating the crown with a six-pointed pink star on the top and placing it on her head.
"It kind of looks like you're Cutie Mark!" Reshiram commented. "That's how you tell them apart."
"So this one must be Rainbow Dash's." Zekrom said, pointing at the red lighting bolt necklace.
"That must be Fluttershy's!" Reshiram exclaimed, examining the pink butterfly necklace.
As they looked at the Elements, Twilight levitated another book. It contained a memory spell that she would use on her friends to reverse Discord's bad magic.
"Alright, we have to go now." Twilight said.
"To go help your friends?" Reshiram asked. Twilight nodded in response.
"Ahm real sorry 'bout tellin' those lies, Twilight." Applejack said.
"It's okay, Applejack." Twilight replied.
"So where's Rainbow Dash?" Zekrom asked. "She's the only one we haven't applied the memory spell to."
"What are you talking about, silly?" Pinkie Pie questioned. "She's on that cloud over there!"
Pinkie pointed to a lone cloud. Sure enough, Rainbow Dash was reclined on it.
"Rainbow Dash, you need to come down and help us!" Reshiram pleaded.
"Who cares?" Rainbow Dash said. "Ponyville's your problem. I'm staying up here in Cloudsdale where it's AWESOME!"
"How in the world does she think that tiny cloud is Cloudsdale?" Rarity asked.
"The same way you thought that giant boulder was a diamond." Applejack replied, grinning.
"I said we weren't going to speak of that again." Rarity said, gritting her teeth.
"Uh, girls, she's getting away!" Reshiram exclaimed. Everypony looked up. Sure enough, to everypony's dismay, Rainbow Dash was speeding away.
"We have to catch her!" Fluttershy said. "I would go, but I'm not as fast as her."
"That was very bold of you to volunteer like that, Fluttershy." Twilight replied. "But I'm afraid you do bring up a good point. Plus, the only other ponies that have wings here are Reshiram and Zekrom. Would you two be willing to try and catch Rainbow Dash?"
"We'll try" Reshiram said.
Reshiram and Zekrom took flight, heading in the direction Rainbow Dash sped off. It's not like they haven't flown before, it's the fact that they're not used to flying in pony bodies that made the flight a little rocky. They were both grateful that they trained to become good flyers back in Unova. For if they didn't, they would have never caught Rainbow Dash.
"Let go of me, you Pokemon freaks!" Rainbow protested, trying to wriggle her way out of Reshiram and Zekrom's grip. Meanwhile, Twilight rested her horn of Rainbow's forehead to preform her spell. Immediately, she stopped squirming, and the color returned to her coat and mane.
"What happened?!" Rainbow exclaimed. "How's Ponyville?! Did we beat Discord?!"
Everypony smiled and hugged her, glad that she's back to her normal self. Then they set off to find Discord.
Discord looked up from the glass of chocolate milk he was drinking. He finished drinking the glass, then threw the solidified chocolate milk over his shoulder, causing a small explosion somewhere. He then looked at Reshiram in surprise.
"Reshiram? You were looking for me?" Discord asked. His heart fluttered, maybe she changed her mind and really did love him! But then he noticed Zekrom, Twilight, and the rest of their friends with her. "Oh." he said sadly.
He continued in a sarcastic manner. "Well, it appears you have found your precious Elements of Harmony! This is the part where you defeat me and return Equestria to its 'natural state', isn't it? Just get it over with."
Twilight readied her magic, but before she could do anything, Reshiram and Zekrom started glowing. It could't have been their Pokemon powers, because they were both freaking out. Even Discord was curious as to what was going on. When the light show ended, Reshiram and Zekrom each had something around their necks. Twilight gasped when she realized exactly what those objects were.
"What....just....happened?" Zekrom asked, looking at his new necklace. In the middle of the gold band was a black heart with a white lightning bolt striking the center. Reshiram's was the same, except the heart was white with a smoldering black flame.
Applejack realized something a little scary. "Those look a might like our Elements."
"That's because they are Elements!" Twilight exclaimed.
"What?" everypony else asked in unison. Even Discord raised an eyebrow. Elements of Harmony didn't just appear out of thin air, did they? If so, that would be a problem. At least for him, anyway.
"But how could they be? And why?" Reshiram asked.
"I don't know." Twilight said. "But we have other problems right now." She turned on Discord, still sitting on his throne. At least it looked like a throne. She began to charge her Element.
"Well, that's just great! Two more Elements of Harmony! You may as well dispose of me now!" Discord said sarcastically.
"Well, you're lucky, because we're about to do just that!" Twilight responded.
Discord just yawned in boredom. He knew that even though there are now more Elements, they still would't work. Twilight Sparkle's friends were still the opposite of who they really are. Or so he thought.
After a few minutes of intense concentration, Twilight unleashed the Elements' power. They started to fire lazers at Discord. As Rainbow Dash's lightning bolt lazer zoomed by, Discord looked up and asked, "What's this?"
He looked over at the ponies. "No." he said. The Elements were working!
Twilight and her friends unleashed the rainbow of magic that usually comes out of using the Elements. It cascaded down Discord's body. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" he screamed. He was cut off abruptly as he was frozen in stone. Equestria was turning back to normal. The master of chaos was no more.
"We did it." Twilight breathed. "WE DID IT!"
Everypony cheered and hugged. "Finally, things can go back to normal!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Now what?" Zekrom asked.
"Now we should probably go back to Canterlot to report to Princess Celestia." Twilight said. So the eight friends trotted away to do just that.
Princess Celestia was very proud of her little ponies, so she hosted a special ceremony for them. It looked like everypony in Equestria was there! All of them were cheering.
"I'm proud of all of you." Princess Celestia said. She used her magic to lift a purple curtain away from one of the windows. The window itself was a stained glass representation of Reshiram, Zekrom, and their new friends turning Discord back to stone.
"It's amazing!" Reshiram said.
Princess Celestia trotted up to the two Pokemon. "I have found a way to send you back home to Unova." she said. "Would you like to return?"
Reshiram and Zekrom went deep in thought. Reshiram glanced over at Twilight and her friends, who's expressions were a little sad. They must already know of Princess Celestia's plan, and they didn't really like it. Reshiram looked over at Zekrom. His expression told Reshiram that she should decide. So she did. She shook her head no.
Princess Celestia was surprised. "Are you sure?" she asked.
"Yes, Princess Celestia, we want to stay in Equestria." Reshiram said. Zekrom nodded in agreement, approving of Reshiram's choice. "It's a really beautiful place, and we love it." he said.
Princess Celestia smiled. "I respect your decision. You may stay in Equestria."
Twilight and her friends heard this and trotted over to them to give the two Pokemon hugs. Reshiram and Zekrom smiled. They made a really good choice.
