When Queen Chrysalis discovers a way to separate Nightmare Moon's soul from Princess Luna, the evil pair team up with Discord to take on Equestria, plunging the peaceful world into darkness. Both Luna and Celestia start armies, one to guard the night and one to take on the day. But the two princess have very different ways of leading armies, and the Elements of Harmony must choose where their loyalty lies. Will they pick the Solar Empire or the Lunar Republic? And how will that affect the outcome of the Great War?

Edit- also, another good chapter. However, I am surprised that discord moved to violence so easily. Seems a bit odd coming from what is essential a trickster god, although I don't doubt that he can attack like that if he has to- his corruption of Fluttershy showed that he could lean towards brute force if he has to.
Um wow. That escalated quickly. I understand Luna's desire for revenge- that was a pretty nasty beat down she received, and also Celestia's desire for peace, but everything accelerated rather fast. I can however see Luna's style of management creating conflicts with Celestia's, and with the mane 6, especially as each member adjusts to their new offensive/defensive role.
Personally I would have written it with the mane 6 as a middling force between Luna and Celestia, trying to organise the plans and resources across both princesses, with them slowly becoming separated, but that's just me and my lousy opinion.
Another good chapter. And I admire the fact that you have a timetable and are sticking to it- I can't do that unfortunately.

Kiiiiiiiinda saw Fluttershy's predicament coming, but that's from past reading experiences. It's always an "Ah crap, something bad is about to happen" moment.
