Memories. Sunset's never had all of them. She can't remember anything before the day Princess Celestia found her collapsed in a garden as a child. Over the years, she's come to terms with it. It didn't matter where she came from or what her life had been before...right?

But since the Friendship Games started, Sunset's been having odd dreams, nightmares of a house on fire, a name of a friend she never had. Dreams of time and space, dreams of a small man with an umbrella.

Sunset Shimmer's life proves to be far less straightforward and far more complicated than anyone ever imagined.

A crossover between Equestria Girls and Classic Doctor Who.

Working on it!

Very glad to have helped bring this story to fruition, and very much looking forward to seeing it develop.

Thank you for the update🙏🥰

I remember the clock tower, and I remember at least one story bringing it up. You changing it up is perfectly fine, however.

I loved the new Dr. Who, though I couldn't really get into Jodie's incarnation through no fault of her own. I blame the showrunner for turning it from a fun, energetic sci-fi blast to a boring soapbox of a show. Reading this story makes me curious about the older series pre-new-who and I'm loving the story, so have a 👍

Aww, thank you! But, oh, boy. If you’re interested in Classic Who, that’s quite the dive. 26 seasons. I know, I know, but it’s okay. Here’s an overview of what to expect:

The original show was serialized, meaning that instead of a story being a single one hour block of time (with ads), like, say, “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”, Classic Who stories were multi-part things, often 3-4 22-minute episodes, sometimes more, depending.

The first story, “An Unearthly Child,” for example, was four parts, while “The War Games” was ten, and all of season 23 was called the “Trial of a Time Lord arc”, a whole fourteen part story with four sub-sections. Originally, they had individual episode titles as well, though this was quickly discarded.

In total, the TV series had 155 stories from 1963-1989, 157 if you count the TV movie from 1996 and “Shada”, a Fourth Doctor story that was written, but never produced. All the TV stories also have novelizations, which can often be great, sometimes better than the originals IMO. Most of those were printed under Target, and while the old Target books are out of print, they have been adapted to audio. Well, some are still coming out.

I should also tell you, in case you don’t know, that a good chunk of Classic Who content is lost from the First and Second Doctor eras. See, back then the BBC wasn’t thinking of long term preservation, and the actors guild wanted the actors to re-do the show rather than re-run the footage, and ultimately, the studio ended up burning a whole lot of those recordings. Poor hindsight.

Fans managed to track down copies in foreign markets or basements, and even made audio recordings of all the episodes, but as far as complete works, audio and visual, there are ten stories that are totally missing, and sixteen others that are in bits and pieces (which is why the novelizations are also important).

Most stories are sold in individual DVD sets. There is The Collection series going by season, though I am not sure if they contain all the special features of the individual sets. If not, that would be...irritating. Or, if you want to watch right now, Britbox is a British TV streaming service that offers all of Classic Who (or as much of it as there is to offer. Again, some stuff is just kaput).

Thank you for the update 🙏🥰

That is a lot of episodes, but being 22 minute episodes will make it easier to watch them all though it would have been nice if they were hour long ones also. Either way I plan to check them out and it sounds like Britbox maybe the way to go though I've never heard of it. Hopefully they aren't one of those region locked things since I'm in the states. I am very curious about how my favorite Who villians was in the classic Who, the Daleks. Was the Shada one where the guy who played the Master died and instead of revealing they were brothers the idea was scraped? I remember hearing about that when I watched a top list of Who things that didn't come to pass on Youtube. A shame about the missing content though, would have been nice for fans to be able to get a definitive collection with everything.

Yeah, it is a lot. I’ve dabbled in it myself, seen a lot, but never all of it. Honestly, I think there’s more Doctor Who media than one person could ever consume in a lifetime, but this is why you pick and choose, and I definitely know some Doctor Who media I can skip...

I can tell you that BritBox is most definitely not region locked, as I’m in the States, too and it’s fine. The Master being the Doctor’s brother is, I believe, I thing that was intended for the 1996 TV movie, otherwise known as “The Enemy Within”, which featured the Eighth Doctor. It was meant as a backdoor pilot to a new series, but, well, obviously that didn’t pan out.

As for The Daleks, you won’t have to go far to find them. They appeared in the second Doctor Who story, titled...The Daleks. shrug Straight and to the point. That one is intact, and is about seven episodes long.

I know at least one of the selections on BritBox is an attempt by the BBC to animate the audio recording they have. I forget which story. But like I said, for the missing stuff, at least there are the novels. Happy watching!

I'm afraid the pun is lost on me, though I do appreciate Human!Rarity's address being linked to her pony counterpart's business.

And poor Sunset. She's got an unpleasant road ahead of her.

The price for Britbox isn't bad, not free like I was hoping, but better than $15 a month lol. Maybe they will have the IT Crowd too, I really loved that show. Thank you so much for introducing me to it, looking forward to exploring it.

Ayyy, glad one of my stories inspired you! Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Ooh, I'm loving where this is going! I'm always a sucker for a good dream sequence, and I'm very much looking forward to the meeting with Luna.

Oh, poor Sunset. When all of this goes down, it's gonna be explosive.

XD Pun intended?

11628802
Well, yes. I had to get the obvious pun out there.

To any new readers: The author has made an attempt at reading their own story!

I really hope top see more of this soon!^_^

The Wonderful Wizard of Yoz,” answered Twilight.
The lettuce turned sour in the redhead’s mouth. “Ugh.”

"I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him."
-- River Song, The Pandorica Opens

Love this story SO MUCH! I am a major whovian and live crossovers like this?

I am so glad that this story is continuing. I just feel terrible that I took so long to finish this chapter. In any case, the cracks are getting bigger. Something's gonna break, and likely sooner rather than later.

Very well done. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you for the update 🙏🥰 this was worth the wait I love how you portrayed the confusion in her memories and nightmares😁
