Real Solaris

One thing about trains. It doesn’t matter where you’re going. What matters is deciding to get on.

This story is a sequel to My Little Spark: The Movie

A massive storm is brewing in the skies of Equestria. Strange towers seem to pop up everywhere, and Storm Creatures from the Storm King’s long disbanded army seem to come out of nowhere. The Mane Eight try to push back the onslaught, but their efforts are for naught.

But the arrival of a creature familiar to Twilight turns the tides in their favor. He somehow knows everyone, and why does it seem like he’s hiding something?

Besides the hedgehog coming out of major left field... the first chapter was pretty good...

Heyo, hope you don't mind me poking in!
I noticed this story I little while ago and gave it a quick read, liked it from where it had started, and decided to keep an eye on it, let me say this, definitely loving it so far! I'm not particularly interested in Crossovers but you've got me hooked, can't wait for Chapter 4! Keep it up!

Thank you so much! This is something I’ve been wanting to do now for a while, so now it’s finally happening! I hope that you enjoy!

Tionic is my OC that I created nearly two years ago. He's a human/hedgehog hybrid from another world sent to protect Twilight. His powers are identical to that of Movie Sonic, so expect electricity to be following him around. I may attempt to get a commission done of him to show you what he looks like.

I want to add a little more backstory into who Tio is and where he came from, but I don't have any plans for that - yet. I will gladly answer any other questions that you have for me concerning the storyline and how things got to where they are now.

Here’s the original bit of text that I wrote after the gang arrived in Canterlot. Ninjas? Really? WHAT WAS I THINKING THIS MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER IT DOESNT CORRALATE WITH STORY AT ALL

As the group heads towards the castle, Real notices something… off. A pair of ponies were following them, and as they continued down the street, more started to surround them. “Hey, guys?” he asks, pointing to ponies following them. “Have any of you noticed that we’re being surrounded?”

“Yeah, I’ve noticed,” says Sonic.

“Same here,” agrees Tio.

“Wait, we’re being followed?!” says Twilight. “By who, though? I don’t see anypony.”

“OOH, maybe they’re the welcoming committee?!” says Pinkie appearing behind Tio. “Or maybe they’re ninjas!” She disappears, only to reappear behind Fluttershy, wearing a ninja outfit.

“N-ninjas?!” squeaks Fluttershy, hiding her face behind her hair.

“Take it easy there, Pinkie,” says Real. “Until they make the first move, we don’t know what they want with us. Let’s just keep moving, and hopefully get to the castle before they do anything.”

Almost as if the universe had heard him, a kunai is thrown at Real‘a head. He catches it between his index and middle finger, the blade barely an inch away from his eye. Eyeing the blade, he notices something on the hilt, but then hears something hit the ground. They’re surrounded by ninja ponies, each wielding kunai.

‘Huh. Pinkie was right - they were ninjas.’ The group gets into defensive positions, with Fluttershy and Spike in the middle. Bridger just stands there, eyeing their attackers. “You know, for ninjas, you guys are pretty noisy. Aren’t you supposed to be supper quiet of something?”

The ninja spot Real’s cloaked figure, and converge on him all at once. He sighs, annoyed. “We’re really doing this? Welp, you asked for it.” He pulls out his magic necklace and concentrates. A cobalt blue aura surrounds the ninja lifting them into the air, leaving them defenseless.

“Hey Twilight,” says Real, struggling a bit to keep the ninja in the air. “Can you bind these guys before I run out of steam?”

“Yep,” nods Twilight. “One binding spell, coming up!” As she says this, violet light erupts from her horn, hitting each of the ninja. The violet magic turns into bands that pin their forelegs to their sides, and another clamping their legs as well. Seeing as the spell was complete, Real slams them into the ground, knocking them unconscious. He walks over to one that had stayed conscious, and picks him up by the scruff of his neck.

“Alright bud, fess up. Who or what sent you guys to attack me and my friends? What do they want?”

“I’ll never tell you, scum,” the stallion spits. “All hail the Storm King.” His eyes then roll back as he blacks out. In that moment, everyone in the the group freezes, knowing exactly who the stallion was talking about.

“…I did not see that one coming.” says Twilight. “Wasn’t the Storm King destroyed after getting turned to stone by his own magic and fell from the balcony in the castle?”

“I guess his sphere of influence was bigger than we thought,” says Sonic. “Still has followers even when he’s dead.”

“Um, I think we should get out of hear before things start to escalate,” suggests Fluttershy. “Ponies are starting to get a little concerned.”

She was right. A small crowd had started to form, growing ever larger. Some of the Elite Guard had arrived to control the situation, so they had it under control for the time being.

“Yes, I agree, Fluttershy,” says Rarity. “Shall we continue heading to the castle and let the Elite Guard handle this?”

The gang then leaves the scene, and heads for the castle, where two alicorn sisters are waiting for them.

What is that thing in the cover art?

That’s what’s known as the Storm King. That walking (or floating in his case) nightmare is from Fornite: Save the World. If you read the fourth chapter Real explains it a little more.
