10972201 I don't know what that is, but this story and any additions to the anthology are inspired by Robert E. Howard's work surrounding his character Conan the Barbarian.
You managed to emulate Howard's prose without getting overwrought, and even more impressively managed to give a story that feels like a Conan story without doing Sunset a disservice by just writing her as Conan with tits.
That you adapted one if my favorite stories, Tower of the Elephant, for your plot was icing on the cake.
I do hope the narrator is wrong about the Shimmerian never making it back to Equestria, though.
10972497 Thank you. I didn't plan for it to parallel Tower of the Elephant so much, but mortals interacting with divine beings is pretty much most of mythology. For original material I drew on my interest in gnosticism and early Christianity in the hopes of still being refreshingly different.
Oh, this is exquisite. Eagerly looking forward to seeing what other adventures Sunset has in this savage realm. And if, in time, she becomes a queen by her own hand. But that is a story for another day...
A'ight, you got me at the pun. Will read later.
Is this like Gozer the Gozerian?

I'm a huge fan of Conan the Barbarian, my father introduced me to the Commercial as a kid.
I greatly enjoyed this first chapter and I hope you continue it! This is what I want to read!

Heh, sorry. It was a Ghostbusters joke.
So. I'm impressed.
