Sunset and Nia

The chase

Twilight and Thomas followed Sunset and Nia to the Edwards station.

“Sunset,Nia,Wait!” Cried Twilight.

“What’s wrong!?Why are you running away?” Thomas asked.

“It’s not fair!The ponies and engines think we’re rude and awful!” Sobbed Sunset Shimmer.

“Just leave us alone!” Cried Nia as she steamed away.

“I can’t believe Diesel turned our friends against her.” Said Twilight sadly.

“Oh man!This can’t get any worse!” Growled Thomas.But,It did when Nia puffed up Gordon’s hill.On top,No one knew that the Diesel twins Arry and Bert are hiding behind some bushes with a long line of troublesome trucks.Most of them were fuel tankers.

“Here she comes.” Whispered Arry.The twins waited as Sunset and Nia passed.

“Now!” Yelled Bert as he and Arry pushed all 20 trucks started and they started rolling down the hill.

“On!On!On!” They yelled.”Chase em!Bump em!Throw em off the rails!”

“SUNSET,NIA,BEHIND YOU!!!” Cried Twilight and Thomas.Sunset and Nia spotted the trucks behind them and started racing away even faster.

“Hurry,Nia,Hurry!” Cried Sunset.Nia puffed faster and faster.But,The trucks were catching up and bashed behind Nia tangling the coupling.The trucks started bumping into each other making Nia go too fast.

“HEEEEEEEEELLLP!!!!” Cried Sunset.

“We gotta stop them!” Said Twilight determined to help her friends.

“I’m on it!” Said Thomas.”Taking the old mainland pistons to max speed!”Thomas steamed as fast as he could after Nia.Soon,They caught up.

“Twilight!” Cried Sunset.

“Use your brakes!Use your braaakes!” Shouted Thomas.Sunset applied the brakes.Then,There was trouble.The points changes and Thomas were switched onto another track away from Sunset and Nia just before the rest of the Mane 7 and Steam team started pushing Nia from behind not only making them go faster.It smashed Nia’s brakes into pieces.

“What the!?” Gasped Twilight.

“This has got to be Diesels work.” Said Thomas and it was.Splatter and Dodge rammed trucks into the signal box switching the points.Then,The rest of the diesels chased after Twilight and Thomas.Diesel stopped at the switch.

“Keep them busy!” He called.”If the Mane 6 and Steam team sees them helping Sunset and Nia,They’ll ruin everything!”

“Yes,Sir!” The diesels yelled as they raced faster.

“Oh come on!” Growled Thomas.”Give it a rest!”

“We gotta out run them!” Cried Twilight.”Faster!Faster!Faster!”Meanwhile,Twillight and Thomas’ friends were pushing Nia on and on.

“Everyone,Stop this!” Cried Sunset.

“Never!You wrecked our friends!” Shouted James furiously.

“So,We’re going to wreck you!” Yelled Rainbow Dash.Later,The diesels were still chasing Twilight and Thomas further and further away from their friends.

“Is there an end to this madness!?” Thomas asked furiously.

“I got an idea.” Said Twilight.As they reached a four-way points,She used her magic to clone herself and Thomas making three doubles.They each took a track on the points.Diesel spotted this.

“They’re splitting up!Go after them!ALL OF THEM!” He yelled.Arry and Bert took the first track,Splatter and Dodge took the second track,And Norman and Sydney took the fourth track.”I suspect the earl deal is on the third track.”And he raced down the third track.Down there,Twilight spotted Diesel behind them.

“Uh oh.Diesel is onto us!” She gasped.

“Better pick up the pace.” Said Thomas as he puffed faster.

“We gotta get Diesel to the others!” Said Twilight.”If they see us helping Nia,They’ll find the truth!Thats why the diesels diverted us!”

“Gotcha!” Said Thomas as he raced down the next junction.

“No you don’t!” Said Diesel as he raced ahead of Thomas and caught up with the rest of the mane 7 and Steam team pushing Sunset and Nia.”Guys,That’s enough pushing for you.Leave the rest to my diesels.”The ponies and steamies agreed and falled back.”Alright,Bowler,Lucas,Bring it in!” Two super long diesels raced behind Nia and started pushing her faster than ever.

“Oh no!” Cried Twilight and Thomas as they raced after Sunset,Nia,And the diesels.But,They couldn’t catch up to them.

“They’re going too fast!We’ll never catch them,Now!” Cried Thomas.

“I got another idea.” Said Twilight she used her magic horn.Thomas stated to glow purple and go super fast.

“THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!!!” Yelled Thomas totally psyched over the speed.

“Haha!Its over!” Laughed Lucas deviously.

“Hey,Oil cans for brains!” Shouted Thomas from behind.

“What!?Are you kidding!?At these speeds!?” Lucas asked furiously.Thomas soon caught up to the diesels.

“Get away from our friends!” Shouted Twilight.

“Not if I have anything to say about it!” Said Bowler has he and Lucas raced even faster.Twilight and Thomas spotted the rest of their friends on a ledge watching them.

“Guys!Help us!Quick!” Yelled Twilight.But,Theif friends didn’t see or hear Twilight and Thomas.They still didn’t trust Sunset and Nia and they left.

“NO!!!” Cried Thomas as he raced ahead of Nia.

“It’s useless,Twilight!These friends are the reason you can’t stop us!” Said Diesel.

“No.You’re more than wrong,Diesel.Our friends are the reason the magic of friendship in our bodies keep up together.So,You want to destroy that magic!?NEVEEEEEEEERRR!!!!!” Shouted Twilight as she blasted a giant beam of magic into the sky giving the ponies and steamies attention.

“What was that!?” Gasped Applejack.Twilight flew up to the cliff and was mad at her friends.

“Why!?Why did you accept Diesels bluff!?” Sobbed Twilight furiously.”It wasn’t Sunset and Nia wrecking all our friends!It was Diesel and you were so blind of that!You’re all just idiots because you didn’t listen to me and Thomas in the first place!”She flew back down to Thomas.Everyone was shocked of the truth.

“Look!Down there!” Gasped Gordon.Everyone gasped as they’d saw Twilight and Thomas switching ahead of Nia.As Thomas buffered to Nia,He applied his brakes trying to stop Nia.

“Did she really meant that!?” Gasped Rainbow Dash.

“This can’t be happening!” Cried Starlight Glimmer.

“What have we done!?” Gasped James.

The diesels mentioned in this chapter wouldn't be able to keep up with or outrun the steam engines. Diesel, 'Arry, and Bert are all Class 08 shunters, which only have a top speed of 18 miles an hour.
