Nice story so far. This is quite a descriptive setting! I'm already thinking of possible scenarios and loopholes that might happen.
I almost didn't realize that you included links to maps in the story because they showed up almost the same color as the text for me. It might be good to try to make it more intuitive that they're clickable. You could also try embedding images directly, but they might be too big. They could maybe also go in an author's note at the bottom.
She reminds me of somebody.
Should be "It's sickening."
I just realized something. You mention in this chapter that Greyscale is curious about Reph and Pinkie's comments which indicate cultural differences, but I also remember that you set Greyscale's hometown as Canterlot in the prologue. Given that Canterlot is a well-established location in the universe and is relevant to those comments, is this an oversight, or is it relevant to the story in some way?
Oh my goooood you went through the effort to make maps. This is already the best mystery story ever solely for that.
I sorta don't trust Maribelle. I'm aware what people in frilly dresses with weird accents have done in the games.
Also, I'm immediately curious if it's even possible to kill Pinkie. The gal has put herself back together from scraps, and can just casually break the laws of physics. I'm assuming either this one is less OP than the show, or you've accounted for that somehow.

Thank you so much! I'm glad the maps are appreciated. You don't know how many versions of it I went through to weed out plot holes and inconsistencies!
My goal with the map was to enable readers to make more educated guesses regarding the series of events. It helps to know where things are and general distances from one place to another.
So on my reread, I'm beginning to form a new theory.
All of these characters are from different timelines/universes. This is all caused by Fluttershy dying, and Discord starting a contest to find his new best friend, taking in lots of candidates from across the multiverse.
Them being from different worlds would explain the strange cultural differences among places that are supposed to be very near to each other. It would also explain what would seem to be Fluttershy in that newspaper article in future chapters. That's just an alternative version of Fluttershy who met with a terrible fate. Perhaps she came across Discord, who in his search for a new friend, accidentally drove her mad.
Discord being behind all this, meanwhile, would explain all the odd Fluttershy imagery. Monobunny, the newspaper article in case 2, etc.
It's a fairly nutty theory, but I think it fits, at the moment.
