I really like this story so far. But there's one issue that sticks out like a sore thumb for me:
This story is written with the assumption that we understand Lunar's backstory.
Lunar is both an Alicorn and a prince. Yes, I see some of his history prior to him becoming an Alicorn, but this is an extremely major development and not something that should be glossed over. Since this isn't a squeal to something as far as I know, it is a bit of an issue to not have any frame of reference.
And while it's fine to not explain things, the story should at least be written to acknowledge as such. Right now it is written with the assumption that we know who every
onepony is.Don't get me wrong, I really like the story and I'm looking forward to updates. But this one thing just detracts from the story. It doesn't make it unreadable, but it leaves this burning question in my mind about who Lunar is in relation to this story.

I appreciate your comments highly. I'm working on a short, but complete backstory for Lunar to put on here, but as of now, all of his stories (there are currently 14 published online, 20 total) are up on my Fanfiction account (link to that is on my profile). He's been a WIP for about five years now.
