I'm just a random zebur that just so happened to have passed by here... where am I exactly?

T

Slavery changes people. It can make them soft or hard, strong or fragile.

A griffon named Vena came out of it harder than concrete. When she saves a filly from a group of slavers in the dark, broken down ruins of the old world, why would she turn out any different?

A Fallout: Equestria short side-story set in the same universe as Fallout Equestria: Dead End.

A very interesting and bitter story very nice.

I...wat.....

I have to say, I really loved the descriptive way you wrote this out to really paint a clear picture of everything. The opening lines in particular hooked me right away. As the story goes on, this doesn't falter or change and that's great, because it genuinely really paints a clear picture of what's happening, in my mind, which I feel like I don't always get with a lot of the stories I read.

It helped that I wrote this with the mentality of 'the pace needs to be really fast'; both because of the character Vena (who is a merciless murder machine who doesn't really waste her time in a fight), and the fact that I wrote this make it as easy to read as possible.

The later of which is how it won said contest.

You did a really good job with that, and I can totally see why it won. Great work!
