Oh thank god, she's awake.
Ah. Shit.
I can.
... What does that mean?
That's a terrible idea.
SEE ABOVE!
I don't like this one bit.
WHAT?!
Agreed. Bad enough that I was denied Halloween basically 5 years in a row, now Cinch wants to do that to you.
Oh it's 100% that.
So, what, come in costume anyway?
I like that idea.
Makes sense, far as I can tell.
I seem to recall this city being their home as well.
Applejack's family?
You're a blackmailer.
Too bad.
You're a wolf, right? Then you know that wolves hunt in packs. They need help. They work together.
From what?
Ah shit.
Yep.
I know what this is like. At least, to some extent. I used to have a dog, called Woofgang. It was a pun on Mozart's first name, Wolfgang, fitting, given the current circumstances, but, he was a stray. A sick, starving stray with half of his ear missing, you could see his ribs under his skin, and he was in generally shit shape. When we brought him back home, our back yard became what my mother called "The Gaza Strip" because he was constantly running around and breaking things in it. Probably because he finally had energy, for the first time in his life. My mother was worried about all this, and not pleased about the destruction, but I insisted on keeping him. And we did. And he grew up to become my best friend. He died almost a year ago now, and, I loved him. I never stopped. So yeah, I get Starlight. That feeling of "I'm going to help. No matter what."
Everyone is someone.
Legal trouble? That's an interesting reveal.
I can get both points.
If I were to guess, addictive aphrodisiacs to make Rarity's nymphomania even worse.
I don't like this...
Not a bad idea...
So if your grades suffer, so does your personal freedom.
She is.
It is a hard question, to be fair.
Be that as it may, regardless of HOW you entered the Velvet Room, the end result is that you DID and you HAVE demonstrably saved lives.
Well, if the Velvet Room DOES make mistakes, they've so far worked out pretty well.
Yeah, I'm not surprised.
So. We're on the 30th of October and Rarity will die by the end of the 9th of November. Meaning you have 10 days to save her. So, given she has 5 classes, assuming one midterm per day and she doesn't have one on Halloween, that's 4 days. Not a lot.
With the deadline to save Rarity approaching quickly tensions are high, but I really like the idea the students have to rebel against Cinch when she cancels the Halloween party by planning to come to school in costume and plan their own party. Show that bitch she can never break their spirits no matter what.
I can already tell that things are about to get EXTREMELY more difficult. Rarity's dungeon isn't some simple 'Save the Damsel' tale like what Trixie and Pinkie's where. Their tales were at least stuff that was easy to exploit and save at the last minute... but these girls need to save Rarity BEFORE that deadline before things go sideways, and you really write that EXTREMELY well and have it FEEL desperate.
Finally. We got the deadline..and very close one at that! Jeez. I know they been exploring her dream world already but damn. cutting it close huh
That talk with Starlight and Twilight at the end was amazing. This whole arc is just filled with all the colors of the rainbow of ambiguity and it makes my head hurt in a good way.

I wanted that scene to show something really important about Starlight. She's, not as better as she thinks.

Thank you so much! I wanted this chapter to feel desperate, and yeah, they're cutting it really close. And scarily enough, they haven't even seen all of it, yet.

Very true… which explains my pillow fort and army of marshmallow men
Let us see you bleed, Cinch.
