Slow down on the character growth, no likes a character who can instantly learn to control their powers in a matter of minutes or after a timeskip. You're gonna end up having a very short story if you rush it.

By the way, don't use pics, instead, try describing their appearance once. People love detail.

Still, it can get annoying just to throw that pic into the story every time just to show what it or he looks like. People want to read about things so it paints a picture in their mind while a pic just interrupts the flow of the story.

That's if you're going to the extreme with the detail that is not important to the story's plot.

"I'll buy it." Erran said to the merchant. After that encounter Erran enjoyed another hour of looking around the comicon. when Erran got home it was 10:00 p.m. and he went to bed. After a few hours Erran started to feel a little dizzy and fell onto his bed and was asleep before he hit his pillow. What Erran didn't know was that as he was sleeping, he was slowly being transported into a new world, with a new look and new ablities.

Well atleast he got to enjoy the con unlike most mcs

thank you DisplacedWriter for telling me about that. Now that I think about it I can, maybe, but some flashbacks when he uses some of his powers or if someone asks about them. That, or I can rewrite the chapter at a latter date. you do have a good point that some people like reading the details, but some people (myself included) like to do both, or skip the description altogether, if a picture is provided. Thanks for the advise that you gave me anyway (I will be paying more attention to how fast my story is going so that it isn't to short).
