During some parts of the story, I will be deviating away from The Report to work on characterization and backgrounds.

Not bad. Few spelling errors and canon breaks here and there but over all, I liked it. I think you captured Ryan's Personality well.

OH, YES! I'm actually writing the next chapter right now. This is where your character, Black Powder, is going to play a major role. It's going to get...interesting. I'm actually writing this one while thinking of my old friend's dad, who's currently in Afghanistan. It's going to be a snippet of a war story, with a few kinks thrown in.

Well I figured, Party Cannon means that they have cannons. And plus, gryphons are creatures of war, so they are way ahead of equestria in the arms race.
And at some point, RD is going to hit Ember. Because Chivalry.
