Rest in peace you glorious bastard. Not a name that matters indeed, sometimes a deed is all it takes. Some fun world building and doesn't come at the expense of the canon cast which I rather enjoy. Lesser works would have disregarded the efforts of the founders and played it to "This one here? They are the real hero!". Every great deed done had others factoring and enabling it, and that is on display here. Despite the OOC warning, don't see much of that here. It's a sad tragedy, but the drama doesn't come from people (or rather ponies) firmly grabbing onto the idiot ball and refusing to let go. We're also given enough meat for Walker's character to enjoy and be bummed at seeing his passing. In a weird way, I'd almost recommend any later versions of this remove his name entirely to have the deeds speak for themselves; though that might be hard to pen.
