I didn't ask to wake up in a forest, and I sure didn't ask to be killed. But I was. And...then I wasn't. I don't know what happened to me, but I just want to go home, or, failing that, make a new life for myself.
.... why would the Celestial Times publish that? Newspapers aren't facebook pages: there are editors who would take one look at it and toss it into the garbage. It's downright unhinged.
This right here, perfectly sums up pretty much all the reasons the Celestia haters do their job. And not only did you deliver well, you delivered it in a very comedic a funny way. And for that, you get 6 out of 5 staches.
8662272 Because this is a story where the main character gets to yell at Celestia for all he wants and be a huge, irritating jerk without consequences because it makes him look "cool".
I'm waiting for it to prove me wrong.
I doubt it will, though. I doubt it will be more than celebrating his dickishness as some kind of virtue.
8662577 Let me address this here...over a month later...
Leon knows he’s being a dick. He doesn’t like it and he’s going to pay for it. He’s not doing it to be cool, he’s just speaking his mind. In a dickish way, yes, but in the end of the day he was his faults, that’s what makes him human.
And as for the newspaper publishing the letter...Newspapers function on money. What’s going to sell more papers, another article of a peaceful day or minor problem, or an article written by someone insulting the princess? Even if Leon was completely insane the paper would still publish it because it grabs attention and will stir controversy, because that sells papers.
Though you’re entitled to your own opinion of course. I just finally decided to address this.
8730073 We'll see. He has some things to make up for. That would include the part with Sombra, unless your Sombra is somehow actually the good guy, for which there has been precious little evidence. So far I've seen precious little evidence of Leon not truly wanting to be a dick either. He's revelled in it. It's just now that possible consequences are looking that he has hints of regret, which is not the same.
Lolololol
HA HA!
yes
