After Twilight delivers a batch of books to Sweet Apple Acres as a gesture of goodwill, she finds that Big Macintosh is not interested in her offerings. Through her efforts to discover why, she inadvertently discovers his most shameful secret.
After returning to Ponyville from Canterlot, Sweetie Belle tries her best to find her place amongst friends and family and to remember what it feels like to be home. This story takes place 4 days after the finale of Scion of Chaos.
Twilight Sparkle awakens one morning to find all of Ponyville wholly consumed by a spreading cloud of white. Hopefully The Stranger inside her castle can help her understand what this all means.
Twilight has always loved mysteries. Almost nothing could compare to the joy she feels when finding an answer to a question no pony knew. But now she's solved a mystery with an answer she doesn't want, and it's one she can never forget
I wasn't expecting to like this, but I did. From my moderate experience of the subject, you describe the devastation depression can cause well, and the way you worked in canon events to further nudge Twilight towards the precipice of despair was inspired. Well done.
I have but one question though: you don't mention Starlight's whereabouts at the end. If she's still with Twi, wouldn't she be a good source of comfort for her mentor?
This is sad, good sad in a way, artistic sad. Like the sadness of the romantic artists.
I don't want to disrespect those who suffer depression, I have a friend struggling with it and I can say, It's awful. I want to help, but how do you help someone to stop fearing herself? How can you be there for a person that goes away, because she doesn't want to be an inconvinience?
But... even in the horrible things there can be beauty, and, even when I know that princess Booky is not real, the empathy is real.
Well, poor Twi.

8599781 Eheehee Starlight's probably practicing magic with Trixie
Or maybe there can be a sequel with Starlight comforting Twi...

Thank you for writing this.
