Thunder-Bolt

"Cipher sent us to hell, but we're going even deeper." - - - "I know, I'm already a demon."

We all know that Rapidfire can be a jerk. He gets what he wants through deception and playing dirty.

But why? Why does he do all of these things? Does he just do for his own pleasure, or is there more depth to his decisions?

This story takes place before the capture of Wave Chill.

If you haven't read Piercing The Heavens by Calm Wind, don't read this story. You won't know what's going on.

You know that's Rapidfire, right?

7934778 Yes... that's the whole point of the story.

EDIT: I see what happened. I fixed it, my bad.

Damn you beat me to it. I was going to try and look into his past. lol.

Hmmm. Maybe I can still do it, just try to do it differently.

Oh well. I'll think of something to do

I like it, nice. And I do hope that engineer gets what he wants.

7977735 Thanks! I noticed you put it in "Need to Review". Could you send me your review so that I can see it?

When it comes out, in who knows how long a time, I'll post a comment on the story, with a link. :pinkiehappy:

“I’m just curious as to why you do that.”

Either "why you did that"
or "why did you do that"

“Oh.” The stallion replied, also letting out a breath of cigar (cigarette) fumes.

This reminded me of a conversation in Pandemic by ASGeek2012.
Rapid Fire has his insecurities and high expectations. In the Wonderbolts, he felt he was underused and not taken seriously. Joining the Shadowbolts, Rapid Fire sought respect, seeing opportunity for power and respect while also wanting to get back at the Wonderbolts. Thing is, Rapid Fire is clearly still facing the same treatment but to a worse degree.
Changing sides doesn't change you. You just took the package and re-wrapped it. Rapid Fire, like Nightshade and several other Shadowbolts and Renegades, tried to run away from their flaws, cover up their weaknesses with a false exterior. They are fake, but their falsehoods became ingrained in their very identity.

Very much like the Shadowbolt compound, now heavily damaged and falling apart, the Shadowbolts as a group are fractured. Factions are forming. On an individual level, where things are personal, a carefully crafted wall falls. Our key character Shadowbolts are beginning to show their true colors.
