A meteor impacts the nation of Equestria, Planet Equis. Tranquility is quickly snuffed out when a poison begins to spread violently. The Princesses cannot combat this unknown threat, as no knowledge of it exists. Help comes from an unexpected source.
Cryogenics was a pretty cool concept until we forgot about it and buried it. So sorry you're going to be woken up ten thousand years in the future... Give or take a few thousand.
The Jedi have fallen. Finding himself on the run from the new Empire, Jedi Knight Revan Blake finds himself in a new dimension. Will he use what he knows to rebuild the order, and so his life in Equestria?
After being forced into a deal with a creature of questionable motives and species, George Someone finds himself in an abandoned palace surrounded by an unfamiliar forest. He quickly dies, then comes back to life. Expect a lot of both.
An Imperial Elite pilot gets send to an unknown planet after a horribly hyperdrive malfunction and is forced to make planet fall with his crippled ship, eventually getting in contact with the world inhabitant. What will Riggs Dantion's future hold?
So you know how a displaced ends up in Equestria against their will, I didn't I wanted to go, but there was a slight detour and I ended up going through the entire Destiny 1&2 campaigns before ending up in Equestria TWO THOUSAND years before the show
So far, so good. Glad to see new authors taking up the Bureau. Definitely liking your characters so far, including the dynamic between John and Light Winds ... they almost have a buddy movie vibe to 'em.
One minor thing, though ... Potion is generally purple (there's also a prototype red version that will turn whoever drinks it into a mare), especially if you're setting this in Chatoyance's take on the 'verse, as you seem to be.
The colour difference is deliberate. I may be basing off chatroyance's verse some, but I am not using it exactly, especially as bringing in elements from season 3 upwards.
if you want a spoiler as to where may be going: Think of something else related to the colour green that changes, from season 2
8074105 Ahh ... I see. That makes a lot of sense. And Chat's 'verse certainly provides a good foundation for worldbuilding. Goodness knows I used it as a jumping off point, myself.
At least you didn't go the route of 'transformation kills old personality and creates pony with old person's memories' cliche. When you remove that from the equation, the entire question and dynamic changes. It's less about choosing which way you'll die or 'fighting the invaders', but more 'how far would you be willing to go to survive?' In the face of a natural disaster?

Same here, with my Atlantis story. I've changed some things when I felt the need, but Chatoyance's setting was the starting point.
8075061 Awesome ... putting that on my to-read list.
