I find it more likely that they think their master is wasting his time with pointless things. It's obvious he invest a large amount of time and energy into those food tables, water calculations and other health maintenance. I would think most masters would see that as a complete and utter waste of time that could be better spend doing more fun things. It is a little silly how detailed he is, for example having so many variables with the water intake is a little ridicules. He can just put it very high so that they have always enough. Maybe two different numbers, one standard and one for hot days.
