Woodchuck, a changeling gem courier, goes to the Crystal Empire to pick up emotion gems from the faux pegasus mare Dusk Glow. Unbeknownst to him, he’ll learn a thing or two from her there.

The first fic set in the Notebook of Queen Ophrys universe, which may be expanded upon someday.

An interesting story that leaves room for plenty of expansion if this is just the first.

7417740 I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I haven’t thought about any other stories involving these two as of yet, but I’ll keep it in mind.

7418565 yep some parts made me chuckle thank you for replying.

A nice little glimpse into the lives of our little changebug friends. :twilightsheepish:

Now I'm curious; is 'Epi' a pseudonym of Chrysalis', or am I misinterpreting things?

7419637 Yep—Epi is the nickname of the changeling queen who masqueraded as Cadance in the Canterlot incident, which for the purposes of this story is Chrysalis. There are some differences in this AU though, which I’m planning on writing about soon.

Incidentally, Drossy and Ophie are all nicknames of characters that haven’t appeared in person yet as well.

Edit: oh, and before I forget, thanks for the watch!

Great story Chryssi, if you dont count some of the errors, its a great start to a collection of stories. Though maybe instead of using our curse words, try using pony curse words, since this is a "kid friendly" show :twilightblush:

7440578 Thanks for the feedback! Could you send me a PM regarding the errors?

Only 2 errors

Confident that she wasn’t going to be assassinated in her own home, either by
Queen Epi’s changelings, pitchfork-wielding pony or otherwise, Dusk Glow opened the door wide.

Pony should be ponies

“Yeah. How spectacularly she failed in the wedding, and she’s still got the gall to plant her ’lings everywhere. I’ve seen some of her infils hiding right here in the Empire of Crystal. And don’t forget that they’ve got empathy sense as well. They’ll be confronting me pretty damn soon.

You forgot a quotation mark at the end

7442998
The first one sorta slipped through the cracks; it should be fixed now.

As for the second one, it’s intentional—when a character (in this case Dusk) has more than one paragraph of dialogue, the closing quotation mark only goes on the last paragraph. (source 1, source 2)

Also, I’d appreciate it if you put it in a private message next time. In case you’re wondering, it’s in the Mail button, which is to the right of the ‘Followers’ button near the top of the page. :raritywink:

But anyway thanks for the explanation for the second "error"

7443277 No worries. You learn something new every day. :pinkiehappy:
