After Luna's Banishment, Celestia was heart broken. During her walk through Canterlot's Gardens, she was visited by a strange gold and red clad unicorn stallion that had appeared within Equestria. Only two words of who he was. "Emperor's Companion".
“Feeling aroused, beyond belief, at the godliest stallion in existence? Ooooh, a million times check.” Nighting Gale’s mind drooled, as she finally voiced the stallion’s name and title. “High General Sun Guard.”

Hold your horses its not like its Emperor himself (or Sanguinius for that matter) after all.
God Damn machine spirits! Trying to kill their user. This is what happens when you don't praise the Omnissiah before messing with the Damn thing. Those Damn things get stingy when they don't get their way.
Aight, holy shit, can't say I saw that near suicide attempt coming at all... I would've figured that a guard of the Emporer would've been made of sterner stuff. Though, looking at the romance tag (if it indeed does having anything to do with Sun Guard) and how the dude has essentially been working what could be seen as a 'desk' job (compared to protecting the Emporer, at least) for 1,000 years then maybe it's a little understandable and acts as a way for him to not be a stone cold servanttpf the Emporer... Still feels super weird though to me though...
Also, would've figured that the Unicorns would've thought to use some sort of sound dampening spell, though that still would not have stopped Sun Guard from hearing their Heresy and stomping in to smash their dicks since I'm pretty sure he's got super hearing. Just feels weird that they had no measures in place to prevent people from finding them outside of being in the gardens.
11066942 he is a Companion of the Emperor, meaning one of the few guarding his sacred being personally. The Custodians literally live to serve the Emperor and guard his sacred work, while it is extreme for us to take our own life, for them being so far from their Lord, and having no way to either return to him, or serve him in any other way is akin to losing all reason to exist. The Custodians live and die to serve the Emperor and secure his work, they care not for mankind but care for the wish of the Emperor to safeguard it.
Show off.
Well the solars are screwed...
