Well that was certainly something
Cool cross over idea so far and I can't wait for in later chapters when Spike get's that boost. Find it ironic for a species that's doesn't have arms gets effect by this parasites. Also can't wait and see what happens when they effect a unicorn.
Well damn, I thought it least Rarity might die later in the story like
SPOILER ALERTShinji's ( That's how you spell his name right) first girlfriend but drama i guess. I at lest hope Twilight and Pinkie survive this. Also Really hope Spike's Mom is Twilight's and not Twilight or Celestia
Pretty good first chapter. Although in the show, I though a parasyte could burrow into any part of the body and work their way up to the brain unless cut off, like when the main character used a small wire on his arm to cut off the parasyte from getting to his head.
Is that a deliberate change here?

In the manga he doesn't need to do that, it burrows into his hand when he raised his hand to protect himself. That same with another guy later who has on in his chin.
6836815 I think of it as their instincts aiming for the ear, then the nose, and then the mouth. If it cannot get to any of those it will burrow into any skin it can find, as a last ditch effort.

6842332 The biggest difference is that the parasites don't only devour the brain, but are able to copy it as long as it's the host they took while in larva form. This means they can fake being equine much better than the ones in the anime/manga could fake being humans. It's like a program they let run in the background, the personality that is, but if something happens that they need to take over, like a threat, then they can't run the personality perfectly due to the processing power needed for analyzing threats and/or battling. Also, if they get really annoyed their personality can slip as well. You'll see an example of this in the next chapter.
There is another main difference, but it is kind a surprise. I'll just say that it has to deal with magic.

6906280 Epic, I was thinking about doing a Parasyte crossover, but I'm mildly curious; Why spell Parasite like that for their "name"?
6910785 I say parasite because they are parasitic creatures. They don't have actual names as far as I can tell. The show/manga is called Parasyte, but that seems to just be the english spelling of the katakana for parasite, which is how they pronounce and spell parasite. They do that for borrowed words. Or at least, thats what makes sense.

I loved how it looks like Luna's night is now being loved as much as Celestia's day like that.
If this fic got to continue, I really hope Luna doesn't get killed there. I hope she doesn't get taken over by one of the Parasites there.
